this is a problem.

your POE date is 2009-12-02

go back on Monday, tell the clerk to get a supervisor.

Once you have a supervisor - tell the supervisor you are K-1 visa, and look you up in the SAVE database.

You don't have much time left - the window closes at day 74 of the POE date.

IMO - the person that 'processed your application', did it wrong.

Good Luck !

I only left 10 days out of 90 days. On the signature of the letter from SSA office, written field office manager and signed by the person sitting on the window. Usually the persons sitting on the window are clerks, right? If they are clerks, I don't know why she signed as field office manager. And plus only showing title and no name. I think we will go SSA office tomorrow. Hope we are on time.

What is IMO?

Thanks.

IMO = In My Opinion.

I think you are screwed, sorry.

on Day 74, you are no longer 'allowed' to apply for SSN.

You'll have to wait until you have EAD or GreenCard, in hand.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

If your application has not been processed, you will need to wait until you have an EAD card or I-551 stamp or card (Green Card) to be assigned an SSN.

I went there 2 times. First visit I got the letter that they will verify with immigration for my status and will reply me. Second visit, after 2 weeks, told me immigration not yet verify them. Third time by phone calling, told me still need to wait longer. That could be called "processed"? Today I got the Biometric appointment letter from Lee summit Missouri. Notice date is 02/16/10.

But online tracking on immigration site is nothing changed.

So, you not go to SSA office today, right?

I'm sad - your application was messed up from the first visit.

Yes, I didn't go to SSA office. The staff from SSA is not competent.

I don't know what I should do now and I cannot work yet coz of SSN.

Wait until you have your EAD card or I-551 stamp or card (Green Card) and go back to the SSA office to either up date the application if it's still pending or reapply if it's been deleted.

That's not necessarily true in your case. The SSA office must verify your immigration status and sometimes it can take a month or more. You should have apply after you had been here 10 days, not wait until your status was so close to expiring.

I have applied after I had been here one and half months. Till now it had already been 5 weeks I applied.
