Hi, my fiancee is trying to obtain her police certificate in Brazil, the problem is her interview is in 10 days, and when she went to the office to get her certificate they told her it will take 10 days for it to be ready. Is there anyway we can do it faster? She was told many diffrent things, like she could get it online...how can we do this? This is the one document we might not have in time and we are both worried, for anyone whos gotten thier police certificate please help us.

1. Yes, she can and must get it online and it will be the original. Print it out twice. End of the FEDERAL Police Certificate dilemma. Going online she MUST validate the Certificate - also explained on the previous link. No need to go to "Cartorio" to "reconhecer firma" aka Notarize.

2. She will need two type of reports to be obtained:

• State Policy Report [from her city/state - in person @ Secretaria de Segurança Publica]

• Federal Policy Report [Federal Policie - online]

3. Great and new information from several members that I suggest you to read before your interview. Your doubts and valuable info that you may did not think about it's right here:

Good luck,

Original? So if she gets it online, she will still need an original copy? Or The one online counts as an original, but she needs a copy of it?

You're welcome. This entire process can be very overwhelmed but stay focus and calm and it will all pass.

Don't forget to show her the "DOCUMENTOS EXIGIDOS PARA O VISTO DE NOIVOS (AS) K1" on this topic: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p=3432917". That's the copy from the list that she will receive at Embassy and must have her documents in that order. It's a good list to help your check list and make sure everything is ready.

Good luck, don't panic and review!

You are quite awesome beinha! thanks for the helpful information. You helped me calm down my fiancee as well, she was going a bit mad over all this. I think people just get confused sometimes because there is lots of different information out there, so thanks for clearing it up.
