1st. Regardless, MC...I think that's a calloused comment to make about a tragic event.

2nd. These type of events provoke contemplation about punishment and/or rehab. I think the couple should hang for this but I could not bring myself to tie the noose. Can this type be rehabilitated? Myb, but I don't think the tax payer should bear the costs.

I wonder what others think. rehab or retribution? Of course there should be some form of punishment, but to what extent?

In this case, the REAL father was the main abuser - the step parent was the wife/partner and one suspects she was more a loser than anything, probably abused as well - though that is pure speculation on my part.

Yep, I agree. How easily could they have turned her away, mistakenly thinking she was some loser drug addict (because lets face it, if you judged by appearances, that's EXACTLY the conclusion most would come to faced with such a girl).
