we jus received our appointment letter bout a week ago!

BUT!!!!

we have a HUGH problem...

My husband's passport expired, and we renewed about 3 weeks ago. They said you should receive it by now, but we still haven't.... our problem is passport is his ONLY photo id other than IL issued temporary driver's license, and his foreign country id...

since his DL is IL state issued, i'm hoping they accept it even though it say 'not valid for id'....

we do have copies of his passport page with his visa, and everything....

they wouldn't take his foreign country id,,, rightt??????

arrrrrrrrg.......... hopefully his passport comes before the appointment...........

Bring everything that you have and explain that the passport is being renewed and expected back momentarily. If they don't accept the identification then you can request a new biometrics appointment. Hopefully, the passport will arrive in time and it will be a moot point. Good luck.
