It seems that "acting white" was meant in a very specific way, since obviously not all white people act the same. Kids will get picked on for acting too "goody two-shoes" no matter what race they are and what race the kids doing the teasing are.

It goes without saying that beating someone for not acting the way you think they should is neanderthal behavior.

What interests me the most in this case is this 'acting white' notion. I first heard about this a while back and thought what the heck does that even mean. Only to find out that it means anyone in the black ghetto community that is trying to succeed (legally), progress, speak properly, educate themselves, improve their standard of living, and basically stop blaming others is apparently 'acting white'. Therefore, such behavior should be frowned on.

The best part of the statement is the racist connotation. I could have sworn that over the last four years here, I was repetitively told that only Caucasians can and are racist period. I am sure the perpetrator would cry racist if I said she was acting like black ghetto trash.

I'll teach you something you may not have learned from your UK education. One or two incidents is a coincidence, no one here is debating that. Ten or more similar incidents start to become what is known as a pattern. Evidently this is a concept you fail to grasp, or never learned in your editorial oriented degree.

It's you who groups everyone together and then pretends this is what I am implying. I am still waiting on you to prove your opinion that those residing in other countries, of similar socioeconomic status, have a behavior akin to that of those in urban ghetto America.

If you cannot see a problem or pattern with those residing in ghettos, who bash others for 'acting white', then you are a lost ignorant cause. After all, if the victims opinion does not count then what does? Certainly not your bloody opinion mate, that's for sure.
