Just a question...what is the best way to send my additional docs and passport to Montreal? Canada Post Express? Fed Ex? UPS?

I just want to make sure that these are received by the MTL Consulate people. I will be sending the original docs.

Thanks.

I sent our additional info and passports from the states to montreal by next Day Fed ex. Went online and showed the person who signed for it. Just make sure you have the right address for sending it express. I only did it fed ex because they only gave two options in sending it to montreal on the paper for the RFE it only said i think Fed ex and canda post. but I dont think that doesn't mean you cant send it thru any other carriers.

I really hope you have better luck than we have. When I phoned Post Canada, they told me that when delivered to a PO Box, Xpresspost packages have 15 days for pick-up, before they are returned as unclaimed. I take that to mean that the Consulate had TWO WEEKS to pick up our package before it even arrived at the Consulate. Was the address for FedEx just the street address?

Well, its taken my hubby and I 3 freakin years to get this far... as soon as I know montreal has the ppw required (its just a consular report of birth abroad for our daughter), my hubby is going to call his congressmen and see if they can put a call in with MTL and get this sent to us ASAP.. 3 years is long enough, Ive jumped through all their hoops, walked on water, made rocks bleed and came up with a cure for cancer.. hopefully this is ENOUGH..

Invictus..

Out of the night that covers me,

Black as the Pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods may be

For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance

I have not winced nor cried aloud.

Under the bludgeonings of chance

My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears

Looms but the Horror of the shade,

And yet the menace of the years

Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,

How charged with punishments the scroll.

I am the master of my fate:

I am the captain of my soul.

Hi MtlMama. My husband mailed ours to the PO Box address that was provided to us. We did use Canada Post Xpresspost with tracking. At first it showed that the package was being delivered to Montreal and then suddenly it stated that the package was being held at the post office at the request of the recipient. When I called Canadapost they said that with PO Boxes it always says that and wont show that is had been delivered until someone from the consulate picks it up. It took 3 days for them to pick it up, not 3 wks. They also are aware that there are important documents such as passports in these packages so they are pretty quick to pick them up. I had panicked too! Its after the pick-up that we don't know what happens to the documents and how long it takes them to actually going through everything and issue the visas. My husband and I are hoping things will speed up because its painful to live away from each other! Goodluck.

The address for fed ex was the same addres im sure they put on all RFE's i dont remember if it was a po box or not. Fed ex even gave us the option to have it delivered at a certain time... I chose 12 the next morning which it was signed for at around that time cost a little more but of course was worth it.
