My name is Beki,and I'm pretty new to this site... mostly.

My finacee Ron has posted a few times here, and has linked me to a lot of the helpful information here on the site. It's been a lot more helpful than the "immigration lawyer" I went to when we first started exploring this option. That guy just said "fill out this and this and this form" ... a lot of useless forms we wont even need or that apply to different visas; he didn't even suggest filling out the 129F! So we're doing it on our own, with the help of this site. *fingers crossed*

We're applying for a K-1 visa, I'm the USC and he's English. I'm a divorced single mom of 2, and he's a single guy who never really wanted kids. I know it sounds pretty improbable, but while there are some very spectacular differences between us, we're actually very much in love, and want the same things out of life.

We're still preparing our initial application, but hope to have that submitted by next month. After that, we wait and prepare as well as we can.

There is a tremendous amount of members going/gone through the embassy in the UK so you should have an excellent support group available to help you. Good luck
