I remember you from the I-129F June VSC Filers. I remember what you've went through to get him here. I'm sorry that this is happening to you now.

He's only been here for less than a month. You have mentioned that he's not happy, maybe he's feeling homesick. Sometimes when we're lonely, we get sucked by what we feel and don't realize that we're hurting others already. I would suggest to wait for a little while. He might come around and realize what he's doing to you is not right and be the man you used to know again. But if you feel that there's really no more chance for the two of you to get back together, you must do what you have to do. Whatever the outcome will be, I hope it will be for the best for both of you.

Goodluck!!!

As has been said there is nothing to do, his immigration issues are his problem.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

You really think it was a scam and that he may have 'used' you..? why would he leave at this late time, right before the marraige?? He could have came there on a visitors visa if he was planning to 'run'... Obveously he has left because of the problems you guys were having.. I would not contact any deparments until you are SURE that you arn't going to get married. If things suddently improve, then you may just regret reporting him as a possible scamer or whatever.

 for the highlighted statement above.

Meg, if he would return to you, do not accept him. I am sorry that this has happened. Perhaps he's confident enough that his friends around the country will help him get a job under the table so he can just hide and earn for a long time.

You are right. It's good that this happened before you supported him for AOS or even married him. Never take him back even if he'd come begging for it. You can forgive him but don't give him a chance.

A lot of young girls have come here as fiancees but they made good wives. That dork is a guy for crying out loud. If he had some difficulties adjusting with his new environment and the relationship set up, he could have just told you about it and you two fixed it together like a real loving couple would. Yet, he chose to run away and left you clueless.

I hope you find the right person for you. There's no deadline for that anyway. People still marry at 72. ^_^ Happy Valentine's Day. You are still whole.

You have a moral and legal obligation to report him to USCIS and ICE. Nothing more needed.

Report him for what? He hasn't broken any immigration laws yet!

Might help others in the same boat to know.

We don't know this for a fact... and homesickness or culture-shock strikes everybody differently -- even those who fully expect to experience it and who try to prepare for it...

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

He was living in Aruba for 10 years, thats where I met him. He didnt have much of a culture shock here since Aruba is so Americanized. I visited about 8 times in a year and a half.. and things were great. It ws alot different for me too when he was here. Regardless of all these things he did what he did...I was honest with him from the start when things werent going well I told him we needed to sit and talk and make sure that us getting married was the best idea for the both of us, since things werent as great as we had both hoped. He knew he couldnt go back to Aruba where he had made his life and that he would have to go back to the Philippines. So, he took off.
