And b!tching about people b!tching about signatures is, perhaps, worse. Surely we are all entitled to our own opinions? And to engage in a little bit of harmless sh!t-stirring on occasion? :innocent:

I'm also a little confused about your statement that looking at signatures make people feel more at home -- personally, nothing makes me feel more at home than a nice cup of tea and perhaps an aromatherapy candle sending gentle wafts of scent through the air, my husband pottering about and a casserole in the oven. But that's just me. :star:

I think bit***ing about signatures is pathetic, please find something else to bit***** about. People here are lonely and have a lot of stress, and sometimes the signatures help them feel more at home and sharing apart of their lives, so don't look if you dont like them.

If you don't agree with the OP why did you recently get rid of most of your signature (which was pretty spectacular in a glittery, blingee kind of way) and just leave the one pic? ;)

Most likely was suggested by a Mod after enough people complained. As I stated I've got them blocked, mostly because I was sick of one, one line post taking up my whole screen... and now with it disabled i can see 2 - 3 posts per screen. MUCH better.

I also don't agree with it making people feel "at home". Make a blog and link it if you want people to look and get to know you more. Pics should DEFINITELY not be in sigs.

Personally I would kill all sigs. Links in sigs get out of date fast. I hate the meez, Blingees, timelines and bits of extraneous garbage that is of practically no interest to anyone except the true obsessives. It's all whimsical f*ckery of the most banal order and I hate it all equally.

I lol'd.

I think a short signature is fine, whatever. If you wanna make your sig look like a myspace or facebook page, that's way over the top. Link your facebook page, or put it all in your profile.

When I first started visiting VJ I told my husband it was like the myspace of immigration boards. Then I learned to turn of the signatures. ;)

Under Board Setting (in My Controls) you can choose whether or not to view signatures. If that helps.

Yup - mondo useful. I turned that off, also turned off graphics/images/photos.

Pages load much faster, and If I wanna look at someone's timeline, I just click the link...

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Since you obviously missed it the first time:

Sure, have a small pic of you and yours; have a LINK to your favourite utube track; have a countdown ticker or two

Wasn't me! :D I haven't even reported one that when I see they've originated a post, I don't even click through to...

Ooh, sounds nice, get the kettle on! lol... I'd rather hang out in your home, if hanging out in others means I have to see graphic representations of fetal development.

And on that point, of graphic fetal development I mean, how considerate is it to cover your sig and so every single darned post you make with this, when there well be women here who have lost a pregnancy right at the stage your joyous foetus is, including 2nd trimester miscarriage?

Failing to see what's b*tchy about asking if signatures can be regulated. Not banned, regulated.

How considerate is it to include your and your fiance's picture with every single post you make? There are thousands of people here who have lost their fiance at the stage of K-1 you are at, including NVC and Embassy stage?

How to Tell if Your Cat is Trying to Kill You

Damn, that's what my cat is trying to do in the morning? No more of those fancy-schmancy tubs of cat food "in a delicate broth" for him then.

Line of the day!

Love you for this:

It's all whimsical f*ckery of the most banal order and I hate it all equally.

:star:

I used to have my timeline in my signature. Then I realised it was only of interest to ME and that anybody interested in my timeline could click on my VJ timeline link on the sidebar.

Personally I would kill all sigs. Links in sigs get out of date fast. I hate the meez, Blingees, timelines and bits of extraneous garbage that is of practically no interest to anyone except the true obsessives. It's all whimsical f*ckery of the most banal order and I hate it all equally.

LOL!!!

Um, can we be friends?

Thanks...
