Crossing the border 1st since marriage

Well tomorrow I return to the USA to visit my wife and go on our honeymoon. Very exciting. This will be the first time since our marriage that I'm crossing the border. I'm flying out of Vancouver. I've got strong ties to Canada evidence with me so hopefully there won't be any issues at the border !!

Other than a return plane ticket, what counts as "Strong Ties" to Canada? My wife is flying down on Sunday to visit me for the next two weeks.

Virtually anything that proves that she'll have to return to Canada -- copy of a lease, rental agreement, bill payments, letter of employment... Usually excessive proof isn't required (I've never been asked for more than a return itinerary), but it's a good rule of thumb to have as much of that stuff available as possible.

I used to take an entire binder of utility bills, rent payments, contracts with clients (I'm self-employed), auto/renters insurance documents, credit card bills showing all my regular "Canadian" shopping, EZ-Pass records (I'd cross at the Peace Bridge which has a toll-booth) - this latter to demonstrate that I crossed often, but also returned often I was never asked to produce any of it, but because I crossed so frequently I didn't want to take any chances.

Thanks all. Much appreciated. We'll hang in Arizona for a few days then fly to the Riviera Maya for a week, then back to AZ and then home to more waiting lol.

Strong ties: I'm bringing a copy of my home title, letter of employment showing my start date and salary, letter of employment showing my scheduled leave dates and date to return to work, copy of my NOA1 to show we are following the legal process, return tickets, a few utility bills ie phone, gas, hydro. If that doesn't do it, I'm dealing with a troubled POE person.

For the record, the POE asked me one question and one only. He asked how long I would be staying in the USA. I told him two weeks but one of those weeks would actually be in the Riviera Maya. He said welcome to the US and stamped my passport. Now that's how it should be right up until we get our CR1s !!
