Hi All,

My husband is on H1-B, and I am a U.S. citizen. We got married early January and sent our AOS package (I-130, I-284, I-765, I-131) on 1/11/2010 and USCIS received on 01/14/2010. Our checks have been cashed, and the case status is "Initial Review". However, we have not receive Biometric Appointment letter yet, should we be concerned? and who should we contact? Other January filers in this forum seem to have their biometric appointments already. thank you for your help.

Not sure if I'm missing something, but the AOS is I-485?

I meant I-485, not 284, sorry about that.

It all depends on how busy your local ASC office is and how many people are in line before you.... They schedule about 3-4 weeks out....

YMMV

You can give USCIS a call regarding this, but I think they have 30 days to send out biometrics. So for sure if you haven't gotten it 30 days after your NOA, then you should let them know.

i tried calling the 1800-375-5283 number, but all i got was a playbakc message about my case status. I was unable to speak to any live agent. Is there a different number i should call?? maybe my local office? thanks.

When my wife submitted her I-485 (July 2007), it was almost 8 weeks before the biometrics appointment came and her appointment was not until October 22... at that time the St. Paul ASC office was overloaded

YMMV

When you call that number, press, 1, 2, then 3, and you'll get someone. Good luck!
