DO IT, girl!!! The cat will LOVE the new adventure & place to roam, not to mention the thrill of the chase, and you'll get demoused. What could be better??

I know I'm strange, but I love seeing cats do things that are instinctual to them. Very fascinating.

Get those suckers, Peyton!!!!!!!!!!!

PS please take a photo of Peyton if you can. :)

:o For a poor little mouse? Shame on you

 sorry, 357 magnum

Wouldn't a BB gun be more apt for use on a mouse?

Admittedly, need something more like a .22 for rats (having been raised in Calgary, I loathe these an order of magnitude past mice and gophers).

('twould be nice if one could let a mongoose run loose on search-and-destroy-mouse--they are fairly effective at it, since they can oft follow them into their hidey-holes; unfortunately, there's no legal way to get one).

i love to have a pet mongoose.....no mice..no cobras either...

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Maybe I can talk my hubby into getting a pet mongoose ...

As Faith stated, a ferret might work (at least, the English ferret is legal to import as a pet to the US; mongoose isn't unfortunately--unless you want a bazillion migraines from US Dept. of Fish & Wildlife to get a permit).

I got jumpy when we got home from work. Made hubby stay in the room with me while I folded laundry and changed into my jammies. Now waiting for hubby to finish a few rounds of Counterstrike before I ask him to accompany me to the bathroom so I can brush my teeth.

I am a true wuss ...

We live in a very rural area and mice are a persistant problem.

Don't you get scared ?!?!?!??!??!?!?!?!??!

I don't know how I missed this thread the first time around but as I read through it this morning I couldn't help but laugh. I have no problem with mice, but THIS one post is me in the presense of a spider!

My fear of spiders has driven me to great lengths of fear, so much so that once after picking up some fast food for dinner for my family I was driving home and noticed one of those white house spiders meandering across the INSIDE of my windshield ... right at eye level! I quickly pulled into the nearest parking lot so as not to kill myself or someone else if it got any closer jumped out of the car and stood there keeping my eye on it until I was able to snag man coming out of a nearby building and asked him sheepishly if he could please kill and remove the spider from my car. He got quite the laugh out of it, killed it and in consideration of my fear showed me the dead body so I wouldn't have to be afraid that he missed it.

I thanked him, told him this would give him a humorous story to share with his buddies and went home :)

OMG that is SO me. I'm this way with just about any bug, though (truth be told). I had a beetle sort of bug on my foot the other night. The way I screamed, anyone passing by would have thought I was being murdered.

 Most other bugs I'm ok with..mostly, but spiders are so evil and insidious and they just KNOW where I am...I think they sense my fear and hunt me down. Most other bugs at least confine their harrassment to flying or crawling but spiders..NOOOOO they can just drop down on you out of the blue when you least expect it!

 <---This is me always on the look out for those evil things sneaking up on me

 Kat!

Personally I don't think spiders are the only bugs that are evil! I think they're always looking for me. I had that beetle on my foot Friday, then yesterday I had an ant on the other foot!! UGH!!!!!!!

They smell the fear in us and seek us out. I swear I believe it.
