I still have not gotten any confirmation CSC received the envelope. No NOA1 email nor check cashed. I also am checking my email and online bank too many times per day. All I have is the US Post Office web site that says it was delivered Feb 8.

I will be a lot happier when CSC agrees with the USPS and sends an email NOA1 or cashes my check.

If it means anything, CSC cashed my check one week after my NOA1 date. I had been watching my bank online every few hrs to see if they cashed the check, then surprise, there's the NOA1 in my mailbox 3 days after mailing the K1!!

How do you guys get through this without going insane?
You're assuming we didn't...

I know I didn't! :help:

Why else would I have become a heavy poster here, starting primarily AFTER I got my 2-year GC?

Part of it is giving back to the community, I suppose. This place helps you out so you want to pay it forward, so to speak.

Part of it is: you've filled your head with all of this specialized knowledge, and it's hard to let go when you don't need it anymore. You're so used to thinking this stuff through it's hard to forget about it. That's the withdrawal part I think.

And I wonder if for some, it's a continuation of something they had to deal with a lot in the home country before they moved here, and that continuing with it is therefore a kind of way of dealing with homesickness.

Wow, US federal immigration bureaucracy as a little piece of Canada to hold on to... I'm a sick puppy :P

DON'T PANIC

We filed last year in November and didn't get the NOA 2 until march.

Patience is not only a virtue.....but a necessity when undertaking immigration.

The only way to stop going insane, is to stop killing yourself by looking at the timelines. It'll happen when it happens, and not a moment sooner. You've got a wait ahead....save the ulcer for the interview. To avoid the aforementioned ulcer, start collecting your evidence now.

We were checking ours all the time too at first. But then just we stopped checking ours and had been approved for 2 days without us even knowing.

A watched pot never boils as they say.

Don't rely on the e-mail notices as they never e-mailed us during our K1 process. They have been with the AOS so maybe they got better.

Good luck

USCIS can't be reduced to a mathematical certainty. Their internet notification system was a good intention, but can't be relied on.

Just lower your expectations, enjoy life, and it will all work out. You've just barely sent it out.

I don't know if the closing of federal offices around Washington all this week will have any effect at all on the field offices.

Ok...maybe it's nothing but..... but in this "waiting" for NOA2 mode, I been going crazy watching my projected timeline and Igor's list.... both are moving targets and seem to change several times a day. But in the past week, I've watched my projected adjudication start dates change from April 22 to April 30..... That's another possible week delay. Is this a sign that USCIS is beginning to slow down a little?? Is the Haiti crisis starting to snag resources?

And...... am I the only one that looks at my USCIS online status at least 5 times a day???? I have email and txt msg updates too....but haven't been so lucky yet to receive anything.

The timeline system right now says you should be adjudicated within this range:

April 29, 2010 and May 11, 2010

THe CSC is about 94 days right now:

They are both in line with your NOA date in late January. I wish you the best and hope your approval comes soon!

The timeline projections on VJ are guesses based on people filing out their respective timelines. They may provide a reasonable guess or they may be off; there are many variables that influence the process. We are also waiting for our NOA2 for our CR1 and I check daily. Obsessing doesn't influence the immigration process but really promotes the insanity !!

You're on track as are all of us...
