Spooks, if you were in the market to buy a sedan or compact car right now, which ones would be your top choices?

For American cars, Fusion, Malibu, Focus, for higher end, Lincoln MKZ, Cadillac CTS.

For Japanese cars, Honda Fit- makes excellent use of space and is a hoot to drive with the manual trans, Honda Civic or Accord, Nissan Altima or Versa. And being from New England, you can't go wrong with a Subaru.

Korean, the Hyundai Elantra or Sonata, high end, Genesis.

If I had to pick today I'd get either a Fusion or Impreza.

If Mitsubishi fixes the turbo lag on the Ralliart I'll definitely buy that in say 6 years.

My wife wants a mini cooper....I'm okay with that just not looking forward to the repair bills.

The Mini is another fun to drive car, albeit expensive to buy and repair. All wheel drive Impreza is a great car for the snow belt.
