My husband's interview is on February 11th!!! :D:D about 24 hours to go!

mumbai consulate... hope the interviewer is in a good mood... lol

i have drilled him with questions, went over all the documents he's bringing, and... omg... i'm so excited and nervous!.

any last minute things to tell us/him??

thank you all soo muchhhhh...

Tell him to be as calm and relaxed as possible and to only answer the specific questions they ask and to give precise answers because lots of times when a person is nervous they tend to talk on and on. Im sure he will do great and wish you guys the best of luck!!

its alll doneeeeeeee :)!! :dance::dance:

my husband went to the mumbai consulat this morning... got there around 7-7:15 am...

went through security... there was a place where you could check in cell phones and other stuff that you wouldn't be able to bring in... (for a little charge of course)...

so he went in and he said he waiting a couple hours before anything... till like 9 i believe...

then they called him up to a counter and asked him questions for about 5-10 minutes...

- how did u meet?

- where/when did u get married?

- does she have siblings?

- what are her parent's names?

- what do they do?

- where does she live? with her parents?

- where did u go for your honeymoon?

- when did u get back from the honeymoon?

- how long were you guys together for while she was in india?

- has she come to visit you since she left after the wedding? why not?

and a few more possibly... i can't remember...

-- and she looked through the whole wedding album...

then he was told to sit for some more time... and by like 10, they told him he was approved!!

they told him to come back that evening at 5 to pick it up if it was ready... if not they would courier it to a city near his hometown... :dance:

and its 6 pm there now... he went and picked it up at 5... it was a 10-15 minute wait to get it...

but now his passport has the little visa piece of paper...

what we all work SOOOO hard and wait soo long to get... hahah...

i'm so happy :) and he's planning on coming march 4th... booking the ticket in a day or soo...

everyoneee... i wish you all the best!!!... the consulate doesn't seem that bad... they just want to make sure the marriage is real...!

p.s. my husband told me that there was a girl ahead of him who didn't have her whole marriage album... so she had to come back with it... i guess it depends on the interviewer... but even though its a pain to carry it, it might be worth it!!
