No real proof...just going by that old country thing of it doesn't look like him but also how the mother didn't tell him she was pregnant until she was like 6 months...we found out she was pregnant end of June and she had the baby mid September...

He's so in love with that baby though...he jumped into Father role quick and the love he has for his son is amazing!

Nothing may change whether it's his or not if he feels it in his heart. A former VJer went through the same dilemna with her stepdaughter...it wasn't his..he continued to support the child and now she is here.

Baby looks change everyday. My daughter looks nothing like her father...didn't start looking like his mother until she was 10. Guess it hits a sore spot for me...I'll keep quiet. Best wishes to all of you.

i think you mean to say Big mama! We good. We had one of our baby showers on sunday and it was so nice. The hostess asked everyone to bring their favorite childrens book so we got an instant library. we also got 2 car seats, a double stroller, bouncy seats, a ton of clothes, and a bunch of other stuff.

both hubby and my son were sitting there like omg......at amazement at the bounty of gifts and also at how much everyone was into it.

my friends knew i got the pink monkey bedding so they had the stroller and car seats set up and had bought pink monkey stuffed animals and strapped them in and wheeled the stroller in.....it was too cute!

That is a great idea. Sounds like a nice baby shower.

Nooo girl I totally understand what you're saying and you're absolutely right, you can't determine paternity by looks...heck I don't really look like either of my parents...the main issue is how long it took her to tell him.

I know that he loves that baby and at the end of the day I love that child because of the love I have for Den so that baby will be fine. Just want things to remain drama free...

I truly felt lost but I found you all. It's funny you bring up the DNA thing. We can't base looks/features as the sole guarantee as to if the child is really the fathers. But IDK. I indirectly have brought that to his attention. Time will tell!!!!!!

IMO, if the father wants to claim the child as his no matter what, them it never has to be a question at all. You know? But, I have seen it used against men before......thrown in their faces later on down the line. If there is a question at all I think testing is best.

Let me just say that I'm not conspiring to secretly do a DNA test or anything...I love Den and I support him or we wouldn't even be this far in the game...I just don't want him to end up having his heart crushed "if" it was thrown up in his face years later that he wasn't the Father...but I do know that you don't have to be a biological parent to raise and love a child...I had an awesome step-Father so I know what it is like to love a child...so I'm going to love, spoil, raise, and be there and support lil' one with all that I have.

i told hubby we should do a...watcha wan call it...'social experiement' and take the stroller with the monkeys strapped in and wheel it down the street or at the mall and he could record peoples reaction to me...people would be like #######??

She is 9 now. They were young when she was born. We haven't decided what we're going to do. She is in St. Maarten now w/his Mom & doing really well in school. She wins spelling bees & gets good grades on big tests. I might sound mean but I WILL have a DNA test done since although he accepts her as his, there is still a big ?? on who the biological father is. If she is his biological daughter, I'll be on board 110%....if not, well, I don't know.

I'm going to argue this one, Ells. If he's considered her his for 9 years, there are going to be some issues telling a child that old that isn't her father. I don't think I'd test that one. Doesn't sound like there would be a problem bringing her to the US as she's away from her mother now. Am I right?
