This lady at my job is from England and she is so nice,

She just came up to me and asked me if someone called me Black or African American would I get offened.

Then she ask what if they called me Negras?

I was like HeL!!!! Yeah!! :bonk:

Haaaaaaaaaa that's funny. Last summer I was at a wedding and my hair was in braids and this lady must have been around in her 90s looked at me and said "my your a beautiful colored lady...just beautiful"...I smiled at her and said thank you...the people that was with her was HORRIFIED  and kept apologizing -- I said, what for? It's not like she's lying

....when it hurts to look back and you're scared to look ahead LOOK beside you and I'll be there.....

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

JQ -- you haven't had the right black cake trust me...my friend and his fiancee is fighting about this now and I'm telling her that's it's okay to have 2 cakes -- her mother is also tripping over the Jamaican dishes I sooo can't wait for this wedding to be over. His mother in law doesn't want any dancehall played at the wedding

It's hard to catch up while making risotto.

I can see his reasoning. My hubby doesn't really want to go back before 2012! He wants to have his stuff together before he goes back. AND he wants to be able to afford a rental car with black tinted windows! He wants to drive down his road without anyone knowing it's him.

Wow. My husband wanted to go back as SOON as possible. The day we got the AP in the mail he was ready to book the trip. Then we both plan on going back later this year.
