My greedy butt couldn't wait until 12:00 to get my lunch. I was in line at 11:40 to get two slices of pepperoni pizza. I ate them, drank a can of pepsi, put my earphones on listening to Barry Manilow and I passed out. I just woke up!

Mmmm....it's only 10:36 here & I'm already considering popping my lunch in the microwave.

Hubby made some cabbage & veggies last night w/ rice & peas & I don't know what he did to those veggies but the seasoning SOOO reminded me of East African food. He went & got my cravings all crazy now! When pay day comes, I think I need to go have some Eritrean food & it's all hubby's fault! He doesn't even like the stuff like I do....says it makes him 'poop' (fart) too much! Sorry, TMI!!

Okay -- ya'll check this out maybe I'm the only one that finds a problem with this -- so, your 16 year old is pregnant with her second child and you choose to give her a 2nd baby shower bigger than the one she had at age 14...do ya'll find anything wrong with that or is it just me. I told my friend that she's taking things too lightly and I told her don't complain to me anymore when she gets pregnant with the third child and I'm sure you'll be taking care of this one as well. Her daugther thinks everything is a fairytale and she should always be spoonfed. Thinking her looks will carry her through life. So, my friend is mad at me because I'm refusing to attend this shower as well. I flat out refused to go to the first one. You know what her daugther had the nerve to say, I'm just jealous cause I can't have another one. I just walked out their house wid my lip tight -- cause I know my mouth.

Thanks JQ! I'm not always sensible with money but I try most of the time. It comes from having to dig myself out of debt in my younger, dumber days. I sleep & breathe so much easier without all that over my head.

Tre I wouldn't go either...a 16 year old should not be having a 2nd baby let alone a baby shower! What is that teaching her? The only thing I would be buying her would be a lock to keep those legs shut!

No that is my younger brother's wife. That brother is in the Army and is due to come back from Iraq in April. I think I might have spoken to her once or twice since he has been gone and one of those times is when she came to my wedding after saying she would not be attending. She showed up at the last minute.

Police found four bodies with gunshot wounds to the head at 145-20 230th Place in Springfield Gardens; Bailey shot his wife and two daughters in their bedrooms, while he was discovered in a living room chair. All four were shot using the same 9mm pistol.

Police sources say a note from Bailey was discovered in the kitchen, with the simple apology, “I am sorry. Love, Mark.”

Bailey’s family moved to the U.S. from Jamaica almost 20 years ago. Wife, Dionne, 42, was an assistant principal at Philip Randolph High School. His 19-year-old daughter Yonique was a student at Stony Brook University, while 14-year-old Yolon attended Cardozo High School.

Family members feared something was wrong after Dionne Bailey’s sister and a co-worker, Dorrett Combs came by to give her a ride to work around 7 a.m., but she never showed up and no one answered the door or phone. Her brother-in-law and a family friend were then called to check on the home, and they called police after they were unable to get in. The first officers to arrive left, saying they couldn’t do anything.

It was only then that Dionne’s brother-in-law peered into an open window and saw one of the deceased. “I looked in and saw someone under the covers,” he said. “I reached in and felt a leg and felt it was kind of stiff.”

His friend saw blood on the pillow and called police back to the scene. The cops then kicked down the front door and found Mark Bailey dead in the a living room chair.

Dionne’s sister, Angela Brooks, said that the couple had had a fight recently, although she did not know what it was about. She said the argument prompted her sister to stay with a friend until she cooled off.

Hey Dens..yes I have family in Germany. My older brother lives there with his wife and kids, he did the opposite of us...he moved there and married his wife. He met her there when he studied abroad for a year when he was in college. He has been there since 1997 and loves it. He works for Wrigly's and travels around Europe with his job.

Okay Dills, I might have to check it on out one day. I know a girl who's husband is stationed there with the Army and she about to move there with him...

I agree, this breaks my heart. Just last week a young high school football player was killed here in Atlanta by his mother's ex-boyfriend in a murder suicide! It's so sad...SMH

That is about the only time I would go back. I would have to say their beer is the bomb there....Octoberfest or no Octoberfest.
