I don't know if you new VJ ladies know this or not but I was married before...to a Jamaican and yes I went through the entire process before with him. I didn't file the K-1 we were married so we went the other route. After we broke up I said I will NEVER marry again. NO ONE...American, Jamaican, British, Canadian...you get the picture. I continuted to take my daughter to Jamaica to see her grandparents, Aunts, Uncles etc. My husband now was always around because he ran with Marley's family and if I would go out to a club at night he would be the one to take me. Our relationship grew over the years and eventually I gave him a chance and I am very happy I did. So I say to you ladies if it your marriage doesn't work out...NEVER say NEVER! Just my 2 cents because I was one that said NEVER again.

Ahhh.....yes, we discussed this the first day we had lunch together. Didn't I say are you freakin' crazy??????

My husband is the same way. Mich was asking the same question a few weeks ago. I don't know of anyone off hand. All the ones I know have all moved to ATL or FL. That's goood. I did the same to my husband the first time we went to NY -- he asked where we going, I said to the store, den he was like mi look like ediat it no tek dat lang fi reach di store. When we linked up with his friends in Queens they damn near lost their mind. We want to do Atlantic City this summer, if we have time. We have a voucher for Sandals Whitehouse that we need to use before the end of this year.

Girl not like I even told them...they just knew I was single with no kids and use to be willing to work overtime etc...then I met Den and got engaged and they finally figured out I had a steady man...they were trying to be on the case then....old nosy mofo's....

Well my theory is if you aren't doing the 3 F's at the same time...then you can not tell me nut-thing...the 3 F's are in no particular order but they must be done by someone who is doing all three: (so even parents can't do all 3- we value their opinions, etc but they still have no real say if you follow this theory....)

1. Feeding me...if you not providing groceries to me then...go sit down!

2. Financing me...if I'm not out here asking you to put $$$ in my pocket or pay my bills...then go STFU!!!

3. "F"'king me...if you not doing this to me then why you breathing in my face talking that yacky-yack!!!

So if you follow this theory the only person who should matter is the person who is in this thing with you....if you guys are doing the 3 F's in life then you must be capable at some level to figure out what is right for the both of you....

I don't regret the experience 100%. I regret parts of it. That being said, the parts I regret are about 85% my fault.

But, knowing what I know now, I would not have gone through the journey. And, regardless of what anyone else says, I know myself.....and I know I will never do it again.

it's based on a request i saw on facebook this weekend and i just thought if i were in that person's shoes i would tell my husband get your a$$ the eff outta here with that $hit (in my best yankee voice of course, lol)

Mikel told me the other day my shirt smelled like a barrel. I was like you are going mad.

nut...no, just like nice smells...nothing that will turn my stomach, but if you smell good and I like the perfume I'll tell you...now, if you smell like one yam hill then that's another story.

i still have a towel that hubby brought with him that i wont let anyone wash/use and i really go and smell it every once in a while....just reminds me of how hubby used to smell in jamaica

You're not crazy, Finesse. There is a distinct smell because my hubby just wore a shirt the other day that he hand't worn since he got here. I love the smell and it was so distinct. I was intending to mention it to him and forgot.

Now that is a great philisophy. I have lived by that philosophy for years and didn't even know it!!! I'm glad someone defined it for me.

Dillon so far we are up to about 4 inches, its not supposed to stop until around 7 pm, so who knows,...as long as we dont get any more snow next week i dont care, im going to JA for my birthday so im excited

Yall remember my last trip i got flight delays from the weather, flew on crop dusters, ran into skinheads( cute ones at that) started crying in the MIA airport cause i got lost, sweated out my hair, it was a hell of a trip so this time mi nerves cant handle all of that

Girl, you are bringing back flashbacks from my run through the Fort Lauderdale airport and the afro that I sported soon after. I wanted to cut my hubby for putting me through that. He will never have a say in what time we leave to catch a flight.
