have any of you guys ever blasted off your husbands/fiances when they make requests? i'm just wondering

it's based on a request i saw on facebook this weekend and i just thought if i were in that person's shoes i would tell my husband get your a$$ the eff outta here with that $hit (in my best yankee voice of course, lol)

it's a serious question though

Absolutely blasted off

no like in terms of food, drinks, music, reading material etc

when i read lady c's question it brought back something i saw on fb over the weekend

i'm just wondering if you guys ever feel pressure to create a mini jamaica in your home, esp when you aren't originally from ja

do you ever feel like it's one sided?

I don't think it would be pressure for me to create a mini jamaica, lol - my house practically is - Most of my artwork is from the islands, Reggae and Soca music playing, JA food in the pantry and the fridge - that's the way I live now - I don't just have love for the man, I have love for all things Jamaican - or almost all things Jamaican, lol -

I think it's important to try to incorporate all the cultures into your home and find the blend that works for both of you. For example, that's how my family end up with an Easter meal of Ravioli, ham, kielbasa, polish easter bread, german Kleiben,.....

They're trying to get him deported after he serves time for this crime and all the others (he violated his parole) -- I don't know how it works and he's part of a gang which I'm all too famailar with. I sit on a gang task force which I've been on since I left high school and they're bad news. I don't know why the hell they need me there since he had 9 outstanding warrants and jumped bail the list goes on. The guys that helped me that day, said they have no problems testifying.

My cousin had to testify against a guy who tried to car jack her. Turns out they got him cause he car jacked some gal, took her to her house, raped her, and then killed her. Terrifying since who knows what the outcome would've been if my cousin didn't have such a big mouth!

Right?!?! I feel you on that one...

And I can say same thing for me. If thru all this mess and drama our life together doesnt work, then Im takin the jersey out the closet and Im gonna ride the rest of the way single. Till death do us part! even if it means his @ss gotta die...

Lol, girl we on the SAME page! hahaha...I think for me its because I have given, given and given myself time and time again. Im not going to say it was all bad, but how much can you keep giving? I love hubby to death honestly but Ive also learned something about marriage. There are times I want to be selfish because Im so giving. So if this doesn't work, we will just be great friends, as I am with ALL my ex's and just travel the world until I can't no more!

I thought the same thing. So, that's what everyone is talking about this morning. I mean, damn, how much of a rush can you be in and why take the test at work.

....or you don't want your man at home to know!

I wouldn't change a thing about the day/the way we met each other, the chase (took him a good 6 months) before I even talked to him, our journey and ESPECIALLY my interview. I found something different in my husband that I didn't find in other men I've had relationships with, I found FRIENDSHIP along with laugther. We appreciate each other and we show it and we love to talk to each other. I asked him what he missed the most about Jamaica and he told me the smell of my hair and my BIG smile when I came through the doors at the airport....I just laughed.

aww tre.. thats right make him chase ya girl.. i keep tryna tell my friend that now.. she wan get married afta knowing him 3 weeks

Hey Yardies.. Hope everyone had an awesome weekend. Mine was pretty full...Attended/Helped with a b-day party for my girlfriend's 4 yr old. We had a fashion show and makeup for the girls....After that went to the Fork and Screen movie theatre to see Shutter Island..If anyone saw it please give your take on the ending. We spent an hour brainstorming on what the movie really meant. Anyway..Sunday we took my daughter to Universoul Circus.

Yay..I know you are ready to get this day over!!!

Congrats on moving things along. I know Eric is ready to get to work.

Well damn...That could go two ways...Either she was happy and wanted everyone to see...or she was shocked a ran out of the bathroom.

(F) Hugs, Ms. Tee

OMG. Hubby made that the other day and it was the most digusting thing I've seen in minute. Everytime I open the freezer I have the baby fingers looking at me. My brother opened up the freezer the other day and they fell out. He was like #######!!:rofl:

Awww...That's so sweet!!!

Thanks Char, sounds like you had an awesome weekend.

:crying: that is so sweet.

dillon, I love him and I'm so in-love with him. I was mean to him when we first met though (very mean), cause I can't deal with men buzzing in my ears in a club and I'm trying to get my drink and dance on. He did politely asked me to dance and I told him no, thank you (well kind of) mi tell im fi LEF MI ALONE!...and he politely left me alone and watched as I brushed men off all night long. He didn't say another word to me that night...

Good thing he didn't let that stop him. Gezzz and I thought I was mean. Your 6 months of brushing him off is nothing compared to my 4 years though. LOL

I would definitely do everything all over again. I feel like when God has made someone specifically for you, you should go any length to be with them. When I was dating people would think that I was crazy because I would pass over some awesome men. The problem is that there was always something missing. Being a wife is the ultimate calling (assignment) by God so I refuse to settle with someone because the road seems easier or to gain approval from friends/family.

Char I like this
