I am the one always calling my parents at the crack of dawn. Since they are two hours behind me I just can't wait sometimes to wait after 9. I get great pleasure waking them up...just as they did when I was a teenager trying to sleep til noon! My Mom always tries to pay me back but she has to get up pretty early to wake me up.

i am NOT a morning person.. my mom calls at 7am sometimes, but not often enough for it to be a problem..

roger doesn't get many calls from the yard tho, he is a loner.. sometimes his bro calls at 6am, i guess on his way to work..its time for me to get up anyway at that time, so i don't mind too much

I was wondering that, too, before Sus explained. That HAS to be frustrating.

Sus, did they forewarn you of this? We had mandatory meetings a month ago where they told us not to expect raises this year. I was just glad I got mine at the end of last year, before the raise freeze.

No warnings, just rumors - I wouldn't have a problem with it if it were across the board - but execs are getting their bonuses - I am sorry, bonuses should be cut BEFORE the raises - at the very least it should have been an across the board cost of living increase - My manager is great though, just the company sucks - although we talked about pushing through my re-eval (2 years past due) and I told him today that I want to meet with HR - because they said that 20% of my duties must fall outside of my current description to justify it - About 95% of my duties are outside of my job description, so I want to sit down and go through line by line and then let them justify why my job hasn't changed.

Interestingly enough, I got two recruiter calls today

Evening Family! I hope everyone had a blessed day! I was not on much today...my job gave Den and I a wedding shower. We are getting ready to head to the Keith Sweat & Friends concert tonight...how ironic since I straight clowned K.S. for being too old to still be in the game but the tickets are free and we're going with another couple so what the hay, huh LOL!

My firm has a raise freeze as well and the partners are still getting their fat bonuses! Although, I can't complain I got a nice raise shortly after I started since a rival firm had offered me a position and the attorney I work for told me flat out he couldn't loose me so thank God I live below my means...but still I would like to see a raise...I'm still doing the same amount of work if not more....

I wanted to thank everyone for their concern and well wishes. You all are so thoughtful!

I am so exhausted and tired, I fell asleep on the couch today for about 4 hours and I could go to bed right now. Just not sure what to do. One of Louis' coworkers just dropped her car off to me! So I can get him to work tonight and hopefully the people he works with are as nice as you all and he can get some rides to work for a little while.
