I sooo needed to hear all of what yall are saying about job/money frustration!!!! Michael has been full time unemployed in JA since last summer and only picking up odd jobs here and there......I AM SOOOO SOOOO FRUSTRATED and having a very hard time hiding it.... I find myself saying Hi, did you find a job today??? That is one part of the reason for my needing a break from the phone calls...but we are back to our daily call routine but it is hard to remain positive.

:ot:

Obama will be in Vegas 6pm.

I love my president Thank you Jesus for my president.

People in Vegas arent to happy with him because in his speeches he keeps saying, " Dont got to Vegas, and spend up your kids college  fund"

My dad is taking the kids to get a glimpse tomorrow at the High school.

That we don't jointly pay bills. Not a cofirm believer in "our" money. Plus I didn't add him to my account...the one that I had for many years and worked to establish..that one.

A former VJer asked me how we bills pays and I broke it down...he pays cable, house phone, electric internet, 1/4 of rent, his cell phone....well he was making less than $10/ hour...I was told he pays wayyyyyyyy too many bills  They would hate me now cuz he pays alot more. But these are the bills HE picked out in our agreement.

I can be here on all day about his money thing but I don't want to offend anyone. But I seen too many women passing through his thread who will not make their men responsible for household bills.

well the fact that roger has to pay c/s puts a ringer in our budget, but he will be responsible for any bill that i dont have NOW that he wants to get .. which is basically the same as yours..

cable, house phone, internet, cell phone..

and he will need to pay the highest utility which will be electric

he wants to pay on rent, but i told him he has to be realistic.. he will not be able to do that now, but we will see.. i am not saying "no" to NOOOO money..

I can't lie...job hunting was hard on our marriage. I remember getting so frustrated during this process. Everything was new to him so I had to repeat myself 20x times. Plus he thought he knew everthing. Finally I just prayed on my patience and everything worked out.

Can you pray for me some patience starting now? Pretty please.

Shemmy, I'm with you on that there. I guess each person is different but I know Den better be ready to make it do with it do. I grew up hearing all the time..."I can do bad by myself" why would I be doing worst with you than before I met you...I know at first we have to support them until they are able to carry themselves but once they are on their feet its time to "show and prove" I can't speak for anyone else's household only mine

Exactly. I think Damien helped out right away cuz he came at a time in my life when I was doing real BAD. He saw my struggles cuz I didn't hide them. He just stepped in and did his thing. Sometimes he does too much cuz he won't take much from me. I have to come up with creative ways....remember I had to leave his birthday gift in his car. If I asked him what he wanted...he would have told me to pay a bill or do something for myself.

Plus I had it very clear from the beginning that I was a single mother and my daughter comes first so he rarely asked me for anything.

i don't know how nobody can tell somebody else how to do their bills.. as long as your husband didn't have any issues LOL..

I know right cause your household doesn't run like mine and mine doesn't work like the next person...chile folks need to "tend & let" and most of all go sit down! Ughhhh....

That is awesome Shemmy, you guys communicated and you came to an understanding...I'm learning in my short 4 days of marriage that is what it is all about!
