Hi all! I was just wondering when the medical exam is done? Is it before or after the interview? Who schedules it? Do you receive a letter from NVC saying that you have to schedule your medical exam? Thanks!

Before the interview... at most consulates the applicant makes the appointment, check your local process (Embassy website) for exact instructions

It is before the interview. You have to schedule it once the Interview Letter is emailed to You. After the case is complete at NVC they will schedule an appointment and then sends us the Interview letter with the details of the interview date and time and also the documents that we need to take at the time of Interview. Once the interview letter is received you can schedule the appointment with the US Consulate approved Doctor that can be found on the US Embassy website.

do it before the interview (two weeks prior at least) because that's half of the main requirement for the visa application.

if medical results are not in and your interview is already done, CO might not be able to tell you if you're approved or not.

the earlier the better so that if there is a need for your fiancee to medicate for an illness, she won't have a problem reschuduling the interview, among other things.

there is no formal scheduling. the applicant goes to the clinic w/her nvc letter of her interview schedule (or even w/out one), as long as she already has a case no. (no. that starts w/MNL )

No need to wait for the interview letter. Have your parents go to St. Luke's Extension Clinic (Malate, Manila). They need to bring either copy OR original of the NOA2 (Approval) and the copy of the letter from NVC with the case# MNLXXXXXXXXXX.

I believed the medical fee costs $213. It is a 2 day process.

Wow, thanks for the information guys! What forms of payment do they accept? So basically, they can just walk-in at St. Lukes, show a copy of the letter from NVC with case# and have their medical exam done on the same day? What about about the results, will they need to come back for it in a couple days?

My Mother said she paid it in peso..$213.35 multiply to the present peso exchanged. Your parents need to bring 2 photos and they'll ask a questions about how many children do they have and what's their names and b-dates. My Mother said it took her about 4 hours and there just few people there at that moment. She said it's just easy. Just the waiting period when you get the result the next day. So hope this help!
