When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

yaaay! :dancing: Are you going to follow the K3 or CR1?

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I saw something about that on the home page.

They will automatically cancel the K3 if the I130 is approved? This would have been horrible for us due to his work contract.

A K3 has 2 years to enter and a CR1 has 6 months. We would have had to abandon and start over.

So get ready for NVC and I hope you have a quick and easy time.

Ya, I saw that after I posted my ?... I think they may go back though. they did this same thing before we filed and then went back to the "old" way of processing both. Some people will be screwed since they depend on the k visa for stepchildren and didnt file 130's for the kids. this is the problem with administratively closing them while still accepting petitions.

For now, I guess the OP doesnt have a choice. So.... good luck with going through NVC :)

Congradulations !!! I am new here, and I was wondering if you could help Sherif And I. He is Egyptian and I am in the states. I will be going to Egypt in May. Do I need to file any papers while I am there? Do I file the K-1 visa at the embassy in Egypt or in the states? And for the interview, do we have to do that together in Egypt?? I will only be in egypt for 3 weeks.

Thanks,

totally Confused,

Lori & sherif

Hi Lori, when you return with your proof of meeting, boarding pass, reciepts from Egypt, you will mail your petition in America. His interview will be in about 9 months. You can fly back for it or wait here. Most consulates won't let the petitioner in anyway for the interview.

Good luck on your journey!
