I received a call from my senator's office this morning. She said that the office had contacted uscis friday and received an email from them this am. She also stated that my petition is not denied; it is still pending review. This really was no help as this is the same as what i was told in an email in sept 2009. I asked her about the timeline for reviewing returned petitions, she said she would ask uscis and get back to me. Also she is supposed to find out what the consular memo said accompanying the returned petion.

When we were in review before being denied my senators office found out exactly why we were in review and even had the head honco at the embassy email me why also. We ended up being denied tho.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Ya, it really does depend on the effort out forth and the experience(ability to ask to right questions) of the rep.

To the OP,

Maybe if you "guide" your rep to ask specific questions that will help

You may try your congressman's office as well.

Good Luck!

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I received another call from my senator's office this morning regarding why Ahmed's visa was denied. USCIS did not give out that information. All of you have said that most of the time that information cannot be found out, but I had to try. Also USCIS cannot give a timeline. I was given the advice to wait on USCIS to review my returned petition. I am considering moving to Morocco. Does anyone know if I can get my medications there, one in paticular, Actos?

I had considered moving to Morocco at one point, but am also on meds. my husband told me that medication there is very expensive, and there also might be a possiblity that they do not carry some of your meds. I found a medication in Morocco for my exzema that I can not get here, so its possible that u can't get what you need there also.

I have been living in Morocco for 2 years now. The doctors are really cheap and the meds are also. Not sure what Actos is but I will ask this week at the pharmacist.

That's good to know. I've found the pharmacy/medicine process interesting in Morocco. It seemed like prescriptions aren't as necessary as they are here, for some things anyway. What's been your experience with the quality of the medical care and the medicine there, if you have experience with it?

I have been lucky in that I have never been sick here but I have accompanied my husband and kids to the doctor. My dentist speaks perfect English but I speak to her in Arabic. She charges 200 dh for a cleaning which is expensive to my Moroccan friends here. All the medicine that has been prescribed to my family is from American companies like Glaxo. The only thing is that are made in France or here in Morocco. For example my daughter is an asthmatic but she is taking the same meds she was back in the States. The cost is about $10.

The weird thing is that I can renew my families prescriptions here without having to go to the doctor and get a new script.

I brought Tylenol other American OTC drugs with me and I have my sister ship me things I run out of.
