Aw man -- that really sucks -- realy sorry to hear that. But don't fret it too much -- it probably added a few days to the process -- don't beat yourself up over it. I had gotten an RFE also (which I calculated added about 2 weeks to the process).

Well guys, our worst fears have came true, just spoke with someone at NVC, there is a RFE on the AOS, i didnt fill out the household size properly, so they send it back to me today, hopefully i should receive it next week. This sucks so badly because I was hoping they would send it to Chennai consulate in time for my wife to get an interview date in October. :crying:

I know, it's a minor RFE, they send it back to me friday, so i should get it early this week. I think if all goes ok, we are still in line for an October interview date.

Oh -- my idiot (now fired) lawyer had "overlooked" to send the copy of my US passport biographics page which proved that I am a US citizen and that I am allowed to file for a I-129F petition. What a putz. Along with that operator at the Delhi consulate, this attorney is on my "whaaap on the head" list <grin> :D

hi all my vj freinds,just received a call from my wife,she got the visa..she says it was peice of cake,they were impressed with all the paper work she had was in oder.all they asked was how long u both know each other,where is he at this minute,when did u both got married,thats it nothing else,and they did say that yr paper work is in great oder.they kept my 2005 tax returns.rest i will ask my wife to log in here tomorrow and post in details her experience.goodluck to all my vj friends,u all have been a great support for me,this journey was indeed a pain in my butt.. ;) but it was well worth it. :dance::dance::dance:

she will be with me in 8 days,gosh we waited for almost 2 yrs before we can unite. :whistle:

We just found out today the ds-230 part 1 he sent off on the 10th of august never got to the embassy..

So he is personally going there to hand deliever.. on wednesday we are hopeing he will get packet 4 with interview letter then all he will have left is medical and his interview... he did not even send checklist until all was completed so he will be giving that to them too... Hopefully will be posting when we get the interview date very soon! Praise the LORD we found out very quickly 18 days later that they did not received the ds-230 part 1 they answer very fast with my email so was very happy there...

The same thing happened to me... I sent them the completed forms by Speed Post which is a recorded delivery. Despite the fact that it was delivered, they seemed to have lost my forms; so I had to fill them agaim and hand them in personally.

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

I-751 posted on 6th August 2009

Received on 7th August 2009 in VT
