Hi. I just wanted introduce myself and to say we just got our NOA2 today. :D I have been reading all of the different forums for quite some time - including this one. I just have not wanted to post until things finally started moving, but I have learned so much from everyone during this time.

My finance lives in Pune and will be going through Mumbai.

I am sure I will be posting more and again just wanted to introduce myself.

Thanks again for everything!

I know, its just so frustrating, I have not see her since january and we spend 11 days together after marriage and for 5 of those day, i was sick with food poisioning. This whole thing with the NVC where you can't send them all the paperwork at once, you have to do it in sequence, its crazy and a bunch of BS. I just hope that she will get an interview date for October. If not I wil go crazy.

I can totally relate to the frustration -- incidentally, all of my "papers" were also received at NVC for my CR1 on August 3rd (I think our case is on the same desk) and are waiting approval. Have you tried calling and talking to an immigration officer over there? I am thinking of doing that this afternoon.

My K3 seems to be moving though.... hang in there buddy. We are all with you...

I wasn't aware of that you can talk to an immigration officer, i thought you can only talk with an operator when you dial 603-334-0700. If you do talk to an operator, let me know what happens. Hey do you think there is a chance that she will get an interview date for october? Thanks for your support

The hold is 30 minutes, but you can actually talk to an immigration officer. The "operators" which pick up the phone are simply a call center (centre) employees.

From what I understand if her case gets to India before September 15th, she will get an interview date for October. I have also heard that you can call the embassy and ask for an earlier date once the file is in India.

Hope that helps,

KP

I am hoping that no news is good news, and that there are no RFEs. I used James shortcuts to get everything sent in -- hopefully it will all fly..

Hi Everyone,

I have been going through the New Delhi Embassy. I have been working on a K-1 visa with them which was ultimately sent back to Homeland Security. Sorry to put a damper on things but I have had a horrible experience with New Delhi. I have only ever managed to talk to someone via phone once in all the numerous times I have been called (and been hung up on) and I average about one email for every three or four I send.

I am going to India to get married in September and starting all over again with a K-3.

whoa! take a giant leap backwords and start from the beginning.

1.. did you interview and then the file was sent to USICS?

2.. was the case sent directly back to USICS?

there is a big chunk of the puzzle missing here.

NOTE! your case seems like its not adjudicated. if this is true. assuming so

since you said it was sent back USICS. if thats true were you told < NOID/NOIR >

if so.. I strongly thin you NOT to REFILE and go for K-3. because, you MUST respond

to the reason< s> your case was sent back to USICS. if you dont the same problem will become More complexed for you. please clearify more....

Sakurasama,

Thanks for listing the experience -- North Indians (where I am from) are not exactly known for their politeness :-). I really feel for you and your fiance -- I don't have the words.

Well guys, our worst fears have came true, just spoke with someone at NVC, there is a RFE on the AOS, i didnt fill out the household size properly, so they send it back to me today, hopefully i should receive it next week. This sucks so badly because I was hoping they would send it to Chennai consulate in time for my wife to get an interview date in October. :crying:
