So does this thing really have to be notarized by an official officer or can we just sign it. I'm kind of annoyed by the things that need to be "notarized" but whatever. So what do you guys know about this? (I'm filling out the I-134 by the way...)

10/5/09 - NOA1 sent

11/16/09 - request to expedite petition for humanitarian and medical reasons (I am pregnant with our baby due 1/22/10)

11/17/09 - request DENIED

1/7/10 - NOA 2 sent

1/13/10 - National Visa Center receives petition

1/22/10 - our baby is born right on his due date!

2/4/10 - make appointment with US embassy in Guayaquil

2/18/10 - I arrive in Ecuador with our little one, we meet up as a family

2/24/10 - Visa appointment with Embassy...Visa Approved!

3/10/10 - I fly back to the states

3/17/10 - He flies to the states

5/19/10 - We get married

10/10? - File for Green Card

1/6/11 - Green Card Interview - Accepted

Hello, Saritamackita.

The new/current I-134 form does not have to be notarized. I believe it's indicated on the instruction section also. :)

The older form which I've never seen yet seems to have space to be notarized while the new one doesn't . :P

I'm looking at my I-134 right now (Rev. 10/30/08).

It just says "Oath or Affirmation of Sponsor" and has a line for signature. No mention of this form anywhere of it being notarized.

Yup and the instructions (pg.1) Execution of Affidavit, specifically addresses not needing notary.

Where's your spouse from? No NOTARY needed on I-364. But you do need your affidavit of marriage intent notarized. Did you do that? And hey, the whole process gets more fun!
