When I posted on other more religious and politically oriented forums, I often encountered this attitude. Unless I specifically, officially condemned each act of violence done by a muslim, I was in cahoots with em.

The problem was somewhat solved when I put this in my signature. Is it time to drag it out again?

Shooting people in cold blood, those who aren't pariticpating in any fighting, well, anyone who does that is just plain wrong, no matter who the shooter is and no matter who the victims are. I thought expressing condolences would convey this, but some people will look for any reason to nitpick it seems.

Tolerence seems to be a one-way street.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

you've still not answered where the rest of the group is. it's just you by your lonesome here. i'm not bagging on you for showing your humanity. i'm asking why is the rest of your brethern not doing so?

we on the same sheet now?

Quite frankly the "rest of the group" is getting tired of certain peoples BS attitudes so we discuss it among ourselves.

I think the common experience of traveling and spending time in the Middle East, knowing Muslims on a personal level rather than just what we see on television, gives us somewhat of a shared, common experience

Totally agree with you! On my many trips to the Middle East my friends and I have made comments on how friendly people are and how everyone values and outlook on life are so much better than most of those in the U.S. My family and I plan on moving back to Egypt in a few years just to get away from many of the headaches here.

i do a screenshot every day

I'm sorry, I find that a bit freaky

Wow. I looked on VJ just now for the purpose of finding out what people might be saying about that shooting.

I guess I didn't anticipate this.

(Although why not, I'm not sure)

The saddest thing I thought was reading this:

Innaa lillaahi wa innaa ilayhi raaji'oon

To God we belong and to Him is our Return

so, in other words...

you and your so-called "religion of peace" would rejoice at this sad news?

Actually, that's the traditional islamic prayer said whenever we hear someone has died, whether they be a friend, family member or some stranger we do not know (F)

Why would anyone think Rahma meant anything other than what she meant?

What's wrong with people, seriously. Rahma you have the patience of a saint (this from a Jew to a Muslim, hehehe).

good points.........

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

(F) to the innocent victims of this senseless attack, and to their families.

Good work on the part of the police to quickly arresting a suspect. May he be tried in a court of law, and if found guilty, be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
