Hello all,

I'm going thru some of the AOS procedure pains...

"A copy of the intending immigrant's birth certificate along with English translation"..anyone have an idea of how this is accomplished?

I-864 Quest. 8 I selected yes (for my wife) Quest. 9 I selected for her son.

Now on part five quest 21 is where I run into a concern.

A. I enterd 02

C. I enterd 1 for my wife

D. I have two children with 50% cust and claim one as a depedent

H. House hold size comes out to 5 when It should be 4. It seems they are counting my wife twice.....any idea of wha I'm doing wrong?

Also, the child will be 15 and he is still in Colombia...do I have to pay an extra 1010 for him?

should I include him in this petition or do I file a seperate petition?

WOW...so confused :(

Thanks for your help.

Any person can translate the document and certify that they are fluent. It doesn't need to be done by a professional translator.

21 C is for a person NOT being sponsored. If you are sponsoring your wife, this is left blank.

21 D You have 2 dependent children for the purposes of the affidavit regardless of what you claim on your taxes. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/in...tml#_How_do_you

From what you say your household will be 5 (you, spouse, her child, your 2 kids).
