Hi guys! When you call the embassy to set up an interview date, do they give you a date for your interview date? Or you can choose whatever date you like?

I was told a date and if I agreed, that was that.... I could have asked for another but the one I was assigned was exactly the one I wanted.

I am not sure if you can specify a date or not...

The operator will give you several dates that are open and you simply choose the one you like. Just get a date with enough time to do the medical about 1 week before the interview. This gives St. Lukes time to process the medical results and then forward to the embassy.

Thank you everyone! last question though, what are the dates that they usually give? is it a week from the day you are calling? 2 weeks maybe? Or a month from the Day you are calling? I know for a fact that we should do the medical like a week before, i am just curious the dates they usually give from the present day

I think... I called early January and was offered an early February date...

I was thinking the interview dates are about one month out from your calling date...

I scheduled almost 3 weeks between medical and interview for 2 reasons; one, I wanted to be sure the results would be over to the embassy with no problem and, two, I wanted the 'worry time' to be as short as possible. :)
