My interview experience

Hey

I just came back from my interview and thought i'd share my experience. For those who have not read my previous thread i will recap on what initial evidence i sent.

child's birth certificate

joint Mortgage statements

joint Leases from previous properties rented (before buying our home)

Life insurance indicating beneficiary

Health insurance card

joint Utility bills

joint saving account statements

joint savings account statement

copy of cruise ticket

I received an interview letter at the beginning of January 2010. At first i was shocked as i thought my initial evidence was solid. So after four agonizing weeks i attended the interview this morning. The IO was polite and relaxed. Almost signaling straight away we were approved when he saw we had a child together. I went in with a load full of additional evidence but he did not wish to see it, only wishing to view the birth certificate. Didn't look at the pictures either:( He said we are approved and spoke about how i can apply for citizenship on my 2yr 9 month anniversary.

I asked why i got chose for an interview when most people seem not to get called. He said that each district office requests a certain percentage of 1-751 for interviews. The computer then randomly chooses that percentage. As each area office requests different percentage it varies from one office to another. For instance a office could request 50% of 1-751 applications or 20% he said.

He said my card may take some time to come as he has to request my main file to put my 1751 file in. Eitherway he said i was approved. So for theminorty who get called for an i nterview try not to worry. :bonk:

Passage Revelation 19:11:

11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

"satan is real and he's playing for keeps
God is realer and we are His sheep
which side are you on, CHOOSE, start moving your feet
choose JESUS and have ETERNAL PEACE" by GOD to me on 9/26/10 about 2am
Thank you Jesus!!!!

Congratulations. Thank you for sharing your experience as well - there are so few interviews for Removal of Conditions and so far all of the ones I have read about are similar to yours - random computer selected interviews for statistical purposes. It will be reassuring for others who may get an interview call as well to read about your experience :).

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Thanks  I forgot to mention that i never even took the 'oath' prior to the interview nor did we go through the application. I guess because they had no questions as everything was in order already.

Just hope posting this helps some people, because as already mentioned so few people have interviews (or just fail to post their experience). I also hope it reassures people that because you get interviewed doesn't mean there is anything wrong and some really are randomly chosen, that number is determined by your district.

Mainyasha: hope you hear something soon. I always told myself that if i didn't hear anything i would just apply for naturalization and get both interviews done together.
