Ok so the consulate called my fiance and told him everything looks good, but just need my 2009 taxes as well and they told him to bring it into the consulate asap. I have not filed it, but I am going to do them tomorrow as I have been doing my taxes for years. Would this be a problem if I just file them and he brings them in on Thursday. Also, do they need state return as well, or the federal. Your urgent reply is appreciated.

Thanks!

Just the Federal Return should do it. Make sure you file electronically and send in the electronic receipt and if you wait a few days you would get an acceptance from IRS as well.

Your fiancee could print a hard copy of it and you could send in the electronic copy via email directly to the consulate.

Good Luck!

Thank you Aya, menina, Twisted K, and ishtisham. Sorry to have kept you guys waiting. Well, what happened yesterday my fiance called me and informed me that they want him to come back to the consulate again with his passport and my 2009 taxes. So, yesterday before I went to work stayed u for and finished my taxes and even mailed them out. I was not looking forward to do them until April, because I owe :(. I went to work with no sleep, but got everything done that needs and sent him all the documents. He is going back to the consulate on Thursday and they told him to bring his passport. So, that was the almost good news. I just hope its not another interview, but even if it is he is ready for it. Guys cross your fingers and pray that he finally gets the visa approval. :star:

Thanks Sachinsky! I am sure now you will be your interview soon, and I am rooting for you as well.

Just have your 2009 taxes ready just in case. You never know with the consulate what they want, when they want it. Best advice is be overly prepared. But, maybe since you are on CR-1 I don't think they will give you as much trouble. Everything goes through NVC, so I think you will be ok.

That is a good idea I can even email it to the consualte as well. Thanks!

Me too, and that is what kept me so positive about this whole thing. But, I hope our consulate journey will be ending soon, and he finally gets the visa.

I can't wait to hear great news about you!! :)

Thank you, and I can't wait to share the news with all you wonderful people. :star:

Thank you, yeah I think finally we are making some progress. The fact that they want him to bring his passport is a very good sign now.
