Pitch-perfect populism that leaves her less popular than ever? David Broder must have missed the numbers:

Although Palin is a tea party favorite, her potential as a presidential hopeful takes a severe hit in the survey. Fifty-five percent of Americans have unfavorable views of her, while the percentage holding favorable views has dipped to 37, a new low in Post-ABC polling.

There is a growing sense that the former Alaska governor is not qualified to serve as president, with more than seven in 10 Americans now saying she is unqualified, up from 60 percent in a November survey. Even among Republicans, a majority now say Palin lacks the qualifications necessary for the White House.

Palin has lost ground among conservative Republicans, who would be crucial to her hopes if she seeks the party's presidential nomination in 2012. Forty-five percent of conservatives now consider her as qualified for the presidency, down sharply from 66 percent who said so last fall.

Among all Republicans polled, 37 percent now hold a "strongly favorable" opinion of Palin, about half the level recorded when she burst onto the national stage in 2008 as Sen. John McCain's running mate.

Among Democrats and independents, assessments of Palin also have eroded. Six percent of Democrats now consider her qualified for the presidency, a drop from 22 percent in November; the percentage of independents who think she is qualified fell to 29 percent from 37 percent.

You know, if this pitch-perfect populism results in her being ever less popular, then I'd think there's good cause to question Broder's assessment.

But as I always say: Bring her in 2012. I dare the GOP to bring her.

You guys are playing so many strokes behind you fail to realize the game at hand.

At some point in time your obsession with "Palin running for president" will run out of steam..... then you might realize, she can be quite effective in other ways.

I think most people here just find it hilarious that Palin would run for President. She doesn't have a chance of winning in a month of sundays.

Hunt you are so "fixated" on the template you keep repeating yourself.

PLease quote for me the part where she even claimed she WAS GOING TO RUN?

Because she simply will not rule it out... you assume "she must run".

Ironically, the same thing is happening to Barry. His numbers are sinking, Dims in Congress are running from him, voters are skeptical that he has the chops to do the job, and independents are turning to the Republicans. Barry is the prez; that's what we have to worry about. Palin is a pundit; at this point, it matters little what she says. The libs are using her as a distraction to keep you from thinking about his flubs and failures, and those are the ones that can make a real clear difference in our lives.

Oh please, what ####### you spout.

You have this bizarre idea that people are somehow afraid of Palin because she pops up in the news time and again. What total rubbish that is.

Though not to you apparently - as you would vote for her (if indeed you did vote and this wasn't just an academic concept) because you like her soundbites and because you have a personal fascination with her. Who needs a campaign platform when its enough merely to worship celebrity.

Just listen to yourself.

Your own words about a mother of five children, are more telling than anything else.

You fear her don't you?

First, and most important, lots of whores have children. Second, she has sold herself to the delusional right and that is more telling about her than my words are about me. 3rd, fear her? Hardly. She is more a threat to the country than to me as an individual. What I do fear are the idiots who are too blind and/or too stupid to see past her glitz and follow her blindly down the road to political retardation. Ignorance will be the final nail in the lid for this country, and the morons who support that ignorance will happily pick up a hammer to drive that nail home.
