Hi! Read your message here on VJ and just wanted to reassure you. This thing about waiting for the visa seems at times too much, but everything comes to an end sooner or later. Waiting for the NVC or receiving the confirmation from them takes about two or maybe three weeks. Then it's sent to embassy in his/her country. The waiting also depends on each case. Not all cases are exactly the same and it also depends on the immigration officials, their workload, etc.... The waiting period starts when it's on the embassy depending on each state & country. For us it took 1 year and six months to get his visa, but finally he made it home to USA.

There is a timeframe to get to each case according to the date they arrive in each center. Hope this helps in some small way. If you have any other questions you can reach me at my email address.
