I think you have the right to still in US. You're visa is good for 10 yrs but if you have stayed 3 yrs or more here in US then you can apply for a US citizenship. Having a job would really help your life. We know that this paper works need money. :)

Good luck in your journey. God bless.

If the OP divorces his wife he will need to wait until 5 years of LPR. 3 years is only if you're married to a USC.

If there's really no chance for the both of you to save the marriage , she can't do anything to remove you from the country because you are already a LPR.

Look at your Green Card. It has an expiration date, meaning it's valid until xx/xx/xx.

It's either 2 years from when you got it, or 10 years. Both cards look the same.

If you have a 10-year Green Card, nothing will happen to you if you get divorced. If you have a 2-year Green Card, you need to remove conditions via an I-751 application.

First find out what kind or Green Card you have: 2 year or 10 year, and let us know. We then can get more into detail on what you can do and perhaps should do.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Yes,

you are safe and you can stay in the USA as long as you want. In 10 years you have to order a new Green Card, which cost over $300 and it's good for another 10 years.

If you stay married and still live with your wife by then, you can become a US citizen 3 years after you got your Green Card.

If you divorce your wife, you must wait 5 years.

I'm sorry, but I can't help you with a job. It is very difficult for many people right now.
