HI Guys,

here we go again.. :help:

i am not over yet with my other struggle that I postest few weeks ago and here comes another one..

it seems it won't be over and won't give me peace?! ugh!

ok, here is the thing...

i filed my tax refund last week through turbo tax and i have been rejected twice already.. the issues is my ID PERSONAL! at first, I did went through again with my personal changed it to my single name which was really the RECORD NAME on my SSN.. on my first claim filed, I used my married name which I forgot that my SSN record is on my single name so there it was rejected first and when i recieved the notice yesterday; I edit it to my single name but today again, it was rejected and i went through again and check it but all is right and so I refile it again and I am concern that for maybe, the third time it will rejected again?! ugh?!

I don't know what to do and in my mind, I will call SS Office - speakin of giving them a call... I already called them several times already and they didn't help me much - the issue was my manager told me this probs at work, the records that they have in my employment record file is under my married name for my EAD is on my Marriad name while my SSN record name SINGLE NAME! since am getting a divorce(on the process) my manager told me to just keep my single name on my SS and she will just change my employement record to single! ugh ! as far as I could remember, my soon to be ex - husband did claim me on last years tax under my single SSN record name and not even a single penny i didn't recieve for he didn't give me! :(

anyways, guys... how I going to fix this?! I do really need that money that I will get from the tax refund for my so hard up financially now due to unexpected expenses and my earnings are barely enough to scrape by on my daily/monthly needs, once I get that refund, i can pay my balance on my rent and prolly I will by a motor/electric scooter that I can use to ride to work and not be anymore on my Mountain Bike! huh?! :(:(

yesterday, i bought my groceries and as usual, am walking on the cold weather with heavy bags on my hands and my shoulder is so shore right now, I am telling you GUys this situation I have not to feel pity on me but just to undersand me - my real situation?! :(

please guys, please.. need your best knowldege - inputs - :help::help: !!!!!

looking forward to hear from you all...

Either you change your name in your company's record or change your name in SS office. Calling SS office is not enough. Go to SS office and request for a change of name. Show them your EAD.

Lost lady -

I've been thinking about your situation and don't understand why the return was rejected after you changed your name to your single name. However, I disagree with the last poster. You don't want to change your name to your married name, since you are getting divorced.

My suggestion - Confirm with SS what name, exactly, they have on file. Next, request your employer issue a corrected W-2 in your correct name. It sounds like they may be using your married name, even though your social security card sounds like it is in your single name. Use the correct name, according to SS, on your tax return.

fyi -- if you have recently changed your name with SS, there may be some issues. Since IRS only gets an update on names and SS# every month or so.

Good Luck!

My recommendation is taken from the IRS webpage:

For her present problem:

http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=123983,00.html

To the OP... read the IRS. You could request for a copy to be mailed to your home if you want the complete info.

Also, Possible scenario why her husband did not have a problem in filing their previous income tax...

http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq/0,,id=199564,00.html

I read some of your post and you are in a mess right now. Some divorce women maintains there ex-husband name to prevent changing their file in the US system. Get the best legal route to make your life easier.
