So the story is not true because of the source? Are you serious?

The story is not an objective report due to the persistant anti-Muslim slant of the publication. They can take that slant, if they choose, but the perspective and motivation of the reporter(s) and the emotions they are trying to evoke are also legitimate elements to consider when taking the report into account. When there is a bias, more effort is required to discern the truth.

You know this from the unequal and biased treatment reports regarding conservative issues get in the lamestream media.

Fair enough, but one has to ask, is any of this really about religion?

but it very well could be considering that Christians are the lowest on the totem pole and therefor the religion of this girl needs to be mentioned in the story. Personally I believe that if she had been a Muslim there would of been more of a outcry.

Because why? Normally, young girls have zero status in these types of societies because of the cultural background, not because of the religion. I would have to say though, that I don't understand why more educated muslim 'priests' don't outreach into these areas and try to educate their own populations into observing the religion correctly. Outside influence can't work but an inside influence most definitely could if there was a will to do so. That I do find somewhat remiss.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

because by some she is seen as less of a person because she is a Christian and therefor not as big of a crime in there eyes. Yes there needs to be some serious educating going on there.

No one is attacking all of Islam.

I doubt this person gave a ####### what 'religion' the kid was. She was available and he took what he wanted.

Want to know what's sad? The source and I get criticized more than these scumbag lawyers.

Islam is being hi-jacked by these type of low-lifes. But every time someone points it out they get attacked. Be less defensive and maybe you'll realize we're on the same side. What side is that? The side that just wants to live a peaceful uneventful life.

One more thing.

We are told over and over that terrorists are not true Muslims. If that is the case why do people get so bent out of shape when a terrorist is verbally attacked? Muslims should get upset at the terrorist, not at someone who posts or writes a story.

We could start with child labor laws. With all that money we give Pakistan, it wouldn't be unreasonable to impose labor laws that protect children from exploitation.

You know there is historical precedent for this sort of thing.... forcing other peoples to abide by our morals.

How quaint, given the subject of this entire thread...not to mention your views on homosexuality.

Something left over (and inherited) from the Crusades? Muslim vs. Christian, all over again? hmmmmm

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

You just don't get, despite how often it's been explained to you. The only reason that these sort of stories have anything to do with Islam is because the sources you choose to copy them from slant them that way. They aren't framed in a way that highlights the immorality of any one individual or singular group, but in a way that reaches beyond them to suggest, often insist, that Muslims as a collective monolith, would condone these acts because Islam does.

It has been explained ad nauseum that Islam does not prescribe nor support the kind of depravities repeatedly posted here, yet, the discussion cannot seem to advance beyond bias and recrimination. Your articles and attitude are attacked for a good reason, because, like the terrorists, they spread division, ignorance and hate. In this way, you have enjoined terrorism, and there are only a few here who don't grasp that fact.

So, you see, the articles don't serve to enlighten us about Islam or Muslims in any way, but they do enlighten us about you.
