Hi,

I havent filed my I-129F but I am wondering what documents do I (alien fiance) need to prepare for the interview as I will be going to USA for a few months on the visa waiver program when the I-129F is filed. I know I have to have proof of relationship, police cert, medical (does this have to be within a certain timeframe?). Just would like to know is there any other things I should be getting ready?

Please post information regarding your country so we can direct you to the appropriate information.

Police records, proof of ongoing relationship, etc are necessary for the interiew but other documents are also needed, ie: long form birth certificate, passport, proof of termination of prior marriages, I-134 affadavit of support with prior year USC tax returns, W-2 forms, pay check stubs (USC), letter of employment (USC), updated letter of intent to marry (from both of you), DS-156, DS-156K, DS-230. There are also Embassy specific things youi need to provide which are specified in your packet3 when your I-129F is approved by USCIS, forwarded to NVC then sent to yoiur Embassy.

You need to know names and addresses of your schools, your employment, and your homes (see DS-156, DS-156K, DS-157, and DS-230). Make certain you know the answers to all of those questions, and if not, start researching now. Ongoing relationship proof (proof between initial submittal and interview), the more you have, the better. As the previous poster mentioned, your passport, birth certificate, also more US sized passport photos. Your medical can be scheduled after you receive your instructions. Your medical appointment can be just a day or two before the interview. You can look at required vaccines for AOS, it is possible they are less expensive (or free) in your native country (not here). There are a couple of vaccines that need multiple doses, you can begin those and get the record of it if you don't already have it. I can't think of anything else at the moment.

10-14-2009 NOA2 (we were around #187 on Igor's List)

12-30-2009 Interview in Madrid!

ahhhh I think this is country specific because I didn't need to know anything about my school, or file a ds-157.

OP to give you the best advice, please advise what country you are from. Okay I see you're from Ireland. Please update your profile so people from Ireland can advise you of what their process is.

hi,

thanks for the replies. I am from Ireland. Just need to know what I need to prepare from Ireland cos I might go to america for like 2 months when the I-129f is filed. I would still have plenty of time to sort my side of things out yes?
