Hi everyone. I am brand new to this sight. I just married a lovely lady from China. She has one child who is 24 and I am not really sure what pettion to file. K-3 or CR-130. Her child plans on making a life in China so there will not be a child involved in our visa just for my new wife.

I met my wife last year in China and became engaged. I returned to China in December and we married there. We did not use a dating service or a matchmaker in meeting each other. We met on the Internet and wrote and chatted for over 5 months before we actually met in person. I have been told I need to file an IMBRA Report as well. I know there must be some sort of guidelines we should follow. Also we have been told that the visa can take anywhere from 4 months to 15 months to be processed and approved. Any help out there from you seasoned pros who have crusaded this strange complexed long journey?

I recommend the Cr-1 since the K-3 is virtualy obselete for many people.
