I am sure this question may have been asked many time. But, honestly, I am not sure what term to use to search for it. Here is my question: how thick was your application? Did you include a lot of pictures and documents. I watch a video online. The author suggests to include about a 100 pages of document. Here is the link for the video, http://www.fianceevisasecrets.com/?a_aid=c...;a_bid=faabf35a. You guys are a very supportive bunch.

your file should include everything:

- a copy of all the documents submitted to the NVC

- phone records, emails, IM transcripts...etc

- pictures

- anything else that would make your file stronger to be approved faster

You don't need to submit a 100 page document. You need to ensure you have all the required forms ie I 130 petition, G 325a, the G 1145 if you want email notification, marriage certificate, divorce decree if applicable, passport pictures, birth certificate or passport of the petitioner, evidence of a bonafide marriage which will include phone logs, email chats, pictures of you two together and with family, wedding pictures, airline boarding passes and trip itineraries etc. The package ends up getting a little thick but there is no set number of pages.

Hope that helps.

Get familiar with the guides and it'll tell you what you need to submit. You submit your initial petition I 130 to the Chicago Lockbox and after you get your first approval (Notice of Action ie NOA1) they send you a hard copy of this approval and the package is forwarded to a service centre ie California, Nebraska, Vermont, Texas etc. Once they finish with the application and approve it (assuming it'll get approved) it's THEN forwarded to the National Visa Centre for processing. At that stage, the NVC will tell you what forms and documents they want.

The guys not that far off as it's a good idea to front load petition for Vietnam.

He's full of BS when his says his assissted petitions have never been denied. There's always some medical denials. May have not been his fault but they happen.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

The visa application is the DS 230. It is four pages and is not part of the package you file initially.

The package you file with the petition can vary widely but usually there is no need for anything like a hundred pages unless you've had 4 divorces in Texas.

A claim that petitions have not been denied is meaningless, as the standard for petition approval is quite low. A statement that no visas have been denied is highly unlikely to be true unless only a few have been applied for. No professional can control what happens at the interview.

Honest cant speak for how vietnam petitions are only canada ones.. and for my Cr-1 I sent pretty much the bare minimum. what they called for (But that was before i ever knew about this site). that was it i had no problems other than them wanting a copy of my Mil ID. But maybe in other consulates and what not they are alot more strict and want more proof.

Tuan, we filed K-1 so our up front forms were a little different. However there is much debate about frontloading (providing more info with the initial petition) vs. using the minimum and providing more details at the interview.

I'd advise in your case here to rely more specifically on feedback from other VN filers. HCMC is a much tougher consulate than most and the others here who have gone through will share their experience with you.

When you get to interview stage you will want to have lots of proof of bonifide relationship and supporting documents, pictures, receipts, boarding passes, photos from engagement ceremony, wedding etc..

Also you will want to create a timeline of relationship. This is very important in HCMC. In the consular documents you will see no requirement for this but it is necessary.

Do some searching and reading and ask any questions you need.

Thank guys,

I was thinking of front loading the application with evidences of bona fide relationship such as flight records, pictures, receipts, etc. Then bring more documents when it is time for the interview.

Bernie: You have been very helpful, man. I deeply appreciate it.

Twisted K: Thank for the suggestion. I did not know there was a subforum for Vietnam.
