Hello to all!

We received NOA2(I-797) on Dec 29,2009. I know right now our case is at the NVC. My lawyer says now that we have received the I-797 my fiance needs to go to Ciudad Juarez as soon as possible to apply for the K1 visa on his end. That's the part that's confusing to me. All of the people I've spoken to that has been through the process says their SO never had to go apply at the consulate. They just waited for their packet and interview date. I don't know what to do. It sounds strange to me. If there is anyone who can help me to understand what's going on here I would greatly appreciate it.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

** Topic seems to be interview-related and may be better suited in "US Embassy/Consulate Discussion"; moving thread there.

diriychulo, there is also a dedicated Juarez-thread in the the mentioned forum HERE. May also be very helpful to you.

I agree with Otto. Now that you are at the consulate/interview stage, it is very important that you seek out advice which is specific to your embassy on the process for proceeding.
