Thank you all so, so much for your warm congratulations from the both of us. I don't think it's fully hit me yet. Peter and I have been in a long distance relationship for over 5 years, have been friends for even longer, and we've gotten so used to having to deal with this that it doesn't seem real that the distance is finally going to be over in a matter of days. Not to bash other VJ members, not that they're probably reading this, but I really don't quite understand how some people can just meet online one week, by some chance, and hang out with each other the next for a few days and realize they want to get married. How can you possibly know you want to spend your life with someone you've only known for a few weeks? It at LEAST takes a couple of months, doesn't it? It took me years to realize that Peter chomps his teeth in his sleep, and that when I have allergies and snore sometimes, he'll intentionally stir me to wake me up just for a few moments of silence and get back to sleep before I start snoring again. THAT'S something you gotta know before a life long commitment of marriage, I think. Just how much someone can annoy you but you still can't imagine a world without them anyway.

I finally took a nap for about 3 hours and am feeling refreshed, but now it's definitely going to be a lazy day today. Bust out the rocking chair and hand me the remote.. I'm going to be enjoying my last days of solidarity in style!

On the bad side, though, the officer said their system was being slow so the visa might not be ready until Monday or Tuesday but there is still a chance for tomorrow. UGHHHH. Really coming down to the line here, folks! Thank you all for your support for everything, now let's just hope the visa can get done by tomorrow.. is that a big, shiny pole I see calling my name? :dance: :dance:

It was my babies last FRIDAY in their school today...they only have 4 days left in their UK school now....a lickle sad...but a whole lot of exciting too...Ive been packing today and things are making more sense....now theres a lickle bit of order amongst the mess lmao....only a lickle mind you!!

Uk nothing still, but i got drunk yesterday at Hooters... thats something good, no? Let me tell you the story, well the parts i remember... So i got there with my coworkers, supervisor, and managers... you kow, i try to appear as a nice girl, like always ... So anyway, the girls here are not like the typical Hooters, they don´t have big boobies, they are not tall or blonde, so i was making fun to the fact, in Dominican Republic i can be a Hooters girl (Marc will only be happy about that if we r alone, serving him only at the house). So looks like the margaritas did their job, and as soon as they started to dance, i wanted to join them, forgetting that i was supposed to show a ¨professional¨ image... anyway i was having sooo much fun... i think my job environment is not going to be the same, oh oh...lol I got home God knows how, got into bed, and went to sleep with what i was wearing... I woke up this morning with a big black mark in my eyes (makeup, nobody punch me,I was drunk not crazy, lol), my feet hurt from looking for the car cause i lost it... and a big headache...

Fingers cross after last night i get something, i really need my interview date...

Solmarc, where did you leave the donkey and midget? Did you trade them for more margiritas? The donkey will usually find his way back. Check the local jail for the midget. He usually ends up there.

Lohninck, have a great wedding next Saturday. Remember, no SEX until then. God, I hope Vika doesn't put me on that path.

UK, not packed yet, but close. Had to get all of my work things in order to disappear for two weeks. I fly out tomorrow morning, so I've got time. I can't find my darn umbrella. Oh well. I still have some time to look for it. I have everything set up. Apartment in Kyiv rented, driver meeting us at the airport, Vika arrives by bus one hour after I land. Hopefully I will be through customs and immigration by then. Just depends on how many flights arrive before me. I should be good.

I will try to keep the karma going from over there, but I will be busy. I actually have to work on a new business in Kharkov for a few days. I want good news from everyone without NOA2s and interviews.

Sorry for the delay, y'all. Yesterday was a bit of a fiasco including my Mom being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance because of what we thought was a heat stroke, as she suddenly got violently ill and had chest pains and was sweating profusely and drastically overheated and vomiting constantly, but after keeping her in the ER for a few hours they couldn't decide what it was. She's better now and we're going to pick up my British friends at the airport in a few minutes. Unfortunately, Peter is not involved in this because he didn't get his passport back. We're hoping for Monday.. fingers crossed as usual! I don't care how much your fingers hurt after these past 6 months, we still got people who need NOA2s and interview dates and visas back.. let's do this, troops!

We have a storm in the caribbean area, so is been raining three days, and lighnings, thunders, really fun, lol... i got home from my job and planning to stay home, make pina coladas, so easy to make, if any of you want to try the recipe let me know... promise no alcohol, i learn my lesson, at least for this week...
