Ken got all our plane tickets booked last night...woooo hooo we have tickets for the 26th August now....the interview is 13th so hopefully that will all go according to plan. Ive got all the paperwork in order and filed ready to walk into the Embassy...we are seriously going to head straight to a London bar after the interview lol. Esp if everything is passed...although Im sure it will be....theres always that element of uncertainty isnt there?

Ive caught the "Christina nesting" bug...and have been cleaning and getting things gone now...we are living in a half empty house now lol. The children are sooo excited its funny. We just cant wait to get him back...he arrives on the 11th August...31 days and counting lol.

Sorry to hear about the hot weather...we are having hot weather here in the UK and they say we are expecting a heat wave....I went out and bought lots of ice pops for the kids to enjoy n keep cool esp as we dont have AC here in the houses....silly Brits eh? But I have a fan on for them to keep cool in at least one room...bedtimes are tough for them...bless...It was so hot in PA the other day that our appartment and about 40,000 other homes lost all power so was without AC. Ken and the dog stayed at the Army offices poor babies....very very hot out there atm.

Yeah they are taking the biscuit arent they with the dates....we couldnt nderstand how the DOS had told us that everything was in order but they where waiting to arrange the interview date for us....it doesnt take that long to arrange a date ....lol...but it was funny that the congressmans office emailed us with the interview date and time...we didnt even ask them about it, and then when Ken called the DOS afew days later, they confirmed it and thennnnn finally afew days later we got a letter from the Embassy confirming it....gessssh. It was like everyone else knew about it before us lol... oh well, we have one and thats what matters now. Thank you for you vote of confidence. I hope you guys get a date soon....its awful waiting around

Yes I have to admit that there are things I will definatly miss from the UK when we leave....mainly my family the most...but the food in the US is so different I think and it makes me mad that they sell things in the store that are claiming to be English...and they are nothing like English.....like they sell Englaish style muffins in the USA and they are nothing like our muffins...ours dont have those lickle holes in...ours are like bread...and not holey bread lol.....Im going to miss Crumpets...lol....Tilda likes salad cream and theres only mayo it seems out there I will miss my dearly beloved Cadburys chocolate....I dont like this Hershey rubbish plahhhh tastes awful lol....everything seems to be of two flavours in the USa....sweet like BBQ sweet and then hot...like bad tasting curry...lol...I think we have more flavours.....even our crisps, Ken was like huh?? smoky bacon flavoured chips...lol...he couldnt believe the flavours when he came to the UK lol...but then again...I love going to the US resturants and having steak with baked potatoe...I call that Jacket potatoe...they lady in the resturant looked at me oddly when I asked for that...lol. We laugh at the different things we say/call things compared to the other country....Christina will understand that from being in the UK as well

We dont use dish washers here (yeah i know), so the first time i used MArc's i put the regular dish washer not the one special for the machine, i made a big mess with soap in the whole kitchen, i think is the first time Marc calls my name instead of calling me baby...

Oh, and why the portions are soooo big? with the portions i get two people can eat and still leave in the plate...

Thank God Marc likes my dominican food, he loves what i cook ( and i think is true cause he eat twice)...

The dishwasher thing for me is silly, you have to remove everything from the plates, then leave then soaking in water and after that in the machine... i take less time and do less work if i just wash then instead of using that.

Trust me Poacher....I never complain about the heat, Im known as an cold ###### lol....no matter how hot it is I will still complain about being cold, my family have it as a standing joke, it can very hot and my hands, feet will be cold and I can still get goose bumps lol. I know the temperatures that Ken has been facing over the last week in PA. I love to be out in Florida over the summer months because of the heat...but the chikdren are different and as we have no AC they are hot on a nightime...I can not open windows for them because of the bad area that we live in, geesh I sat in my house the other week and opened the downstairs window just for 5 mins while I sat next to it....ended up with the Police turning up to tell me I shouldnt have it open lol.....I agree...we are going to melt when we get to PA with the temps they are having at the moment.
