Solmarc, take the midget and donkey to the beach. They will work for their own beer. Usually the midget doesn't snore, but he might have drunk too much. I was wondering where they were at. I need them back on the 16th. They have to fly to Kyiv with me on the 17th. They will be back stateside on the 31st. I hope that you get your interview soon.

SandT, I am glad that you made it to Belarus with all your luggage. Kind of a ####### shoot getting to eastern Europe. My last trip to Kharkov I waited 10 days for one piece of luggage. Somewhere on the way it had gotten rained on, of course with highs about 0 fahrenheit, it was an iceberg when I finally got it. I am looking forward to getting back to land of shaslik, borscht, pivo, and of course the high heels and mini-skirts. I will be just south of you. What city is she from?

Lohninck, where are the pics of the lingerie?LOL. I can send you some of me in my thong in return. Just what you wanted isn't it. Sounds like you were the big winner in AC. What is your favorite casino. My buddies are always Tropicana, they hate Trump. Your big day is getting close. Do I need to send the midget and donkey up for the batchlorette party. Make sure they earn their keep.

Did someone really get their NOA2 in 8 days. That is bullsh!t for those that are still waiting.

UK, glad you finally received got an interview date. Doc and me are still going to crash your wedding. Now you are scared.

I hope everyone had a good 4th. I was personally a little overserved. I'm paying for it now. I need another beer. "get back on horse."

kharkovpoacher, well i don´t know how am i going to get to send them, they are liking the pole after showering it beer, showing the private parts to the girls at the beach, the donkey found a girl over here, last sunday they said they were going for cigarettes and this is the time they don´t come home...

Oh, and the midget is not in a good shape, he over slept in the sun and know looks like s shrimp and cant even seat... they are out of control...

but i need them for tomorrow, after that i will send them to you, thats if they come home today...

Thank God, lol, last time my Mom was to NJ, she went to Atlantic City and lost about a thousand, my father was furious, lol... but she said she had fun so thats what counts (i guess)...

The town name is Metuchen, i love it, i hear the birds in the morning, a lot of little restaurants, mall close, gym, i can walk to the train station, is just lovely. We hope one day to be able to buy a House in that place, i see my family growing there... Hopefully i get a Job soon enough there, i am saving here but i will be out of work for some time there, so that money will be use for other things in the mean while.

Happy you made 23usd, i don´t go to the Casinos, i enjoy seeing people playing... my Honey likes black jack... i am getting to understand it...

Ahh, I know Metuchen, I have a friend who lives in Woodbridge so I'm up there sometimes.. very nice little towns. When you live in NJ and are ever looking for a place to crash after coming to the shore, just let me know! I'm about a 10 minute drive from a local beach and 15 minutes from my favorite boardwalk, Jenkinson's in Point Pleasant.

It's pretty easy to lose money in AC.. I had to stop and think for a second about where all my money went off to. I stopped myself after $40 in gambling so I made a decent payout. I'm going to be back there in a few weeks with my British friends but after my new paycheck I might be able to spend a bit more, hehe. Maybe get into some blackjack or Texas Hold 'Em.. those are the ones that really take your money..

Poacher, I haven't taken any pictures yet because I want to make sure I have a good effect on my husband-to-be before I can release it onto the world, but a trade would be pretty decent! I think we have enough donkeys and midgets for the bachelorette party but the more the merrier. I miss the midget, but I know he's off doing better things for people who are still waiting. Go, midget, go!

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

I can't believe Vermont is churning out NOA2s in as little as 8 days now and there are still February and January filers waiting around. If that's not the biggest case of BS, I don't know what is.

A very big congratulations on the interview date, Em! You must be so excited! Peter and I keep looking up flights for him to come here on the 17th, it looks like Peter might be making a connection in good ol Blighty because British Airways has the cheapest and most convenient flights.. our favorite airline, KLM, would have him make a 16 hour layover.. nooooo thanks.

Jeee.. Eight days and here I am 155days and counting. Nothing from VSC. This is injustice in the highest order..

Did someone really get their NOA2 in 8 days. That is bullsh!t for those that are still waiting.

UK, glad you finally received got an interview date. Doc and me are still going to crash your wedding. Now you are scared.

They are batting 50% on luggage lost to date, but it's always turned up. This time the TSA decided to rifle through the checked bag, leaving things quite the mess unsurprisingly - I had half of the bag 'compression packed' and the other half empty, but compartmentalized, things wrapped in bubble wrap, etc. Not so once they went through it, nice to have glass and some other things banging together. Thank you, TSA. good.gifinnocent.gif

We already made the rounds for my food cravings, draneke, shashlik, some kvas, and lots of fruit that doesn't stay 'good' for a month. :D

Getting her Polish Visa was an experience, several hundred people are there each day; there were 200 or so the morning she went to drop off her papers, around 100 when we went in the afternoon to pick it up. For anyone later coming across this thread, it took right at 2 weeks for her to get her Polish Visa from the Polish Embassy in Belarus. We got it for 3 days, as longer, even with the US Embassy invitation, opens a can of worms of travelers checks, bank statements and such - it's not a huge deal, but time was of the essence, and we didn't have a few thousand Euros sitting around where she could get them the same day.

The medical by comparison, wasn't much of a problem, although they only do it on certain days, and only in Minsk. They gave her copies of almost everything without even asking.

She booked our train tickets to Warsaw, as she needed to for accompanying paperwork for her Polish Visa, and did need my Passport number to buy them, but this seems a YMMV situation.

I have no idea where that 8 days turnaround is coming from, but if so, they need to not pull a CSC, and make sure those still waiting from Feb, March, etc are all taken care of first. After that, it's all a bonus for people filing after us, and I wish them all well. :)

Mailed K1: Fedex to VSC Feb 19, 2010

NOA1: Feb 22

NOA2: May 17 (84 days, no touches, both SMS and email notice received a day later)

Rcvd at NVC: May 19

Sent on to Embassy: May 21 (in reality, May 24th)

Received at Embassy: May 26

Packet 3 received: June 1

Packet 3 returned: June 2

Solmarc......awwww I hope time passes fast hun. Good luck with the DOS.

Ken called them yesterday and they confirmed that our interview was the date that the congress had given us. Then today I got a letter from the US Embassy to confirm the date as well.

Since then the hotels and coach tickets for our short stop in London has all been arranged....my family have got their plane tickets for the wedding...and we are booking ours tonight...Ken is arriving on the 11th August...33 days and counting (I dont include today, thats all ready here...or the day of the 11th as he will be here lol...woo hooo.

We are booking flights back to the US for the 26th August, the interview is the 13th August...giving us two weeks to receive our passports back....fingers crossed with that.

I contacted our landlord to let him know we are planning on leaving and are awaiting the responce....Ive let everyone know the date we plan on going and we are now trying to arrange a final playday meeting for the children with all their friends...probably somewhere like the indoor activity/play area centre...three out of four of our children have their b.days on the 23rd and 24th August...so we thought we would meet up with their friends on one of those days so its like a b.day treat for them as well......and OMG are we all so excited right now...we cant wait to see my baby/Daddy again...and this time we all get on the plane together...forever...no more sad fairwells for us....thats the plan anyway and we are sticking to it!! lol

I hope everyone is getting closer to the point they want to be....for those without NOA2's...my advice...contact your local congreesmans office...thay helped us an awful lot!!! and things moved fast once they got involved...well they did for our case anyway.

For thoses waiting on interview dates...or PK3's....good luck and may things move swiftly for you.

Huggles xxx

Awwww, so cute! I'm going out for lunch with my maid of honor in a bit, yay. This wedding is really beginning to sneak up on us but we're all excited. My flatmate/bridesmaid from Newcastle and her parents will be with us on the 17th, and hopefully so will Peter! I'm looking forward to touring them around the state and NYC, since they've only ever been to Florida. I can't wait, it feels like all of our hard work and waiting is finally about to pay off.

And yes, DEFINITELY contact your congressman. There is no reason to wait this long when other people are getting approved within weeks now. No reason.

Thank you, we are pretty excited to say the least :)

OMG your wedding is sooo close now....even Im excited for you and Peter...and its not my wedding. oohhh yummy...make sure you have a yummy fruit salad or something...after the wedding you can pig out on cake...lol...youve done so well losing all the weight...dont want to put it back on ;)

How exciting, you have the Georgdies arrives...theres sure to be alot of fun there, I hope they have a safe and pleasant journey over, Im sure they will have fun, we had only ever been to FL as well, I love Washington DC when we went there....and PA is soooo pretty :) I cant wait to hit NYC one day soon.

Have fun and a drink for me with your lunch :)

Well, I had grilled chicken with a side of brandied apples so that's not too bad, right? ;)

I feel like I'm nesting and I'm not even pregnant. I've been cleaning my room and rearranging it incessantly for the past few weeks.. today I'm going through and cleaning out my entire walk-in closet for the third time this month. I don't know how it gets so packed when I try to keep it as simple as possible! I'm currently out of a dresser because we got it from a real cheap place (Walmart, boo) and it could barely hold a few pair of jeans without falling through, so everything I have clothes-wise is in my walk-in closet and I just got a bunch of new cute skirts and pajama/exercise/lazy day pants (and thongs, ooh la la! haha) from American Eagle and Aerie, so I want to hang them up.. taking out allllll my winter sweatshirts and hoodies to make room but it's not easy, since the basement is full of wedding stuff right now. We're featuring a candy buffet and there are just bags and boxes of all the candy you can think of, I can take a picture if need be, and they're all going to go in clear plastic Chinese takeaway cartons.. 150 of them! Aaaaaaagh.. I can't wait until all of our guests take all the goodies so they can get out of my house!

I sent all the stuff Peter needs for his interview, including my updated AOS, letter from my employer, a ton of pictures, everything but the kitchen sink. It cost $109 via UPS to get it there for Monday since the interview is on Thursday and I need it there guaranteed, don't want it stuck in customs, so I put it in rush. Oy vey.

SO, does anyone have plans for honeymoons?! They're clearly the best part of the wedding process! Peter and I are going up to Mohegan Sun in Connecticut for 3 days as a mini honeymoon, and then we're going to California in October once everything has calmed down, I have a decent job and can take time off, etc. I can't wait.. I got my other bridal lingerie in today, eeeeeeeee..!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

ohhh that sounds yummy but what is brandied apple then?? sounds good to me:)

I want to come to your candy buffet...woooowww :) lol

Good idea about getting everything there in time for Peters interview...arghhhhh how exciting!!!!

Honeymoon?? ok we are doing everything back to front lol...we are getting to the place we are marrying at....after the wedding and photos on site we are heading off with the family gathering and going for a meal put. Then they are going back home while we stay at the hotel for two nights....my mummy, step father and sister are over in the US for two weeks so they are kindly having the 4 children and dog for us, so we at least get two nights together. Then when we get back home two days after the wedding we are having a party at our house, all the family will be invited to this and friends of course....its really just so everyone can meet up and help us celebrate. so kind of backwards...wedding...honeymoon and then the party afterwards...but no wedding cake for me lmao...kens says that wedding cake makes women not want to have sex...lol he is funny, soooo no wedding cake for me then :) cant run that risk for real !!! lol.

Solmarc, you can send the midget and donkey to your consulate to make them give you an interview date.

Uk, keep kidding yourself. There will be no sex involved. Once you say "I do" that means you don't. LOL.

Lohninck, your saran wrap arrived. NICE. Pics requested again. It is a rule.

Doc is busy, he will be back.

I'm busy, trust me, more smack to come. Play with your boxes.

I need a touch.
