I tried to load pics of Matildas dress but it wont let me right now :( I have to admit that I do eat more when in the USA, Im sure I will put more weight on lol. Well done you though, thats a big drop in dress size...proud of you :)

I do have my dress, I think I link you before...anyway this is my dress http://www.thedarkangel.com/catalogue3.php?p=400

this is kens jacket http://www.thedarkangel.com/catalogue3.php?p=169 OMG he is going to look sooo hot...this is his waistcoat (vest for Americans lmao) http://www.thedarkangel.com/catalogue3.php?p=394

The boys will be in tails, simular to Kens and the girls are in dark red which kinda has a two tone effect with black...Matilda is being a flower fairy and has a basket of dark red and silver rose petals..to pathe my way to ken. We are having the children brought into the wedding ceremony, we want them up the front with us at some point, we want to acknowledge this isnt just our day of promises and a new marriage but also promises to the children and the begining of a new family. Its important to us to have them playing key parts...our eldest son is bestman, our youngest son is giving me away, our eldest daughter is my maid of honour and our youngest daughter is our flower fairy. They are all very excited.

Wow amazing work with the dress size drop!!! that is awesome...certainly well done to you again lol. I will try again later with the photos they wont load right now.

Thanks very much! I gained a little bit of the weight back after all the stress of the visa and stopped going to the gym for a while because it was too much to worry about, hence why I'm in between a 14/16 when I used to be a comfortable 14, lol, but I'm working on it again so I hope I'll be even better by the time the wedding rolls around.

That's right, I totally remember your dress now. Sooooooooooooooooo pretty! Really well priced too! I don't understand women who spend $14,000 on a dress they'll wear for 6 hours.. but I guess if you have the money.. I'm sure there are a million better ways it could be spent, but whatever! Brides will be brides, as irrational as we may be.

That's so nice of you to incorporate the entire family into the ceremony. We're having a pretty personal one as well. My step-brother got ordained just to perform the ceremony, and my step-father, blood father, and grandfather will be giving me away. I wanted my Mom to give me away instead, since she has always been one of my best friends and I am definitely a Mommy's Girl since my real dad left the family when I was 8 and I have hard a time liking him since, but my Mom said it would break my Dad's heart if he didn't get to at least walk me down a little bit of the way so I'm giving in. As much as he hurt me and my family, I'm not a mean person so whatever. I have 5 bridesmaids and 4 bridesmen and Peter has his brother as his best man. This is only because his male friends can't make it to our wedding but I still want there to be balance. I'm not a bridezilla, I promise!

We are expecting about 150 people to show up. I was hardly expecting more than 120 but we've had to order more tables and chairs already. Since this is my first and (should be!) my only wedding we're splurging a bit as I'm the only daughter on all sides of my family, step and otherwise. I'm even the only daughter on Peter's family so this is very important and I'm really excited and definitely cannot wait.

well I am sure that you will get back down, hell if you can lose all that then I am sure you have the will power to get where you want to be!! Good job girlie :)My step dad is going to be on my other arm with our youngest to give me away, Im not having dealings with my Daddy anymore, he hasnt been good on the whole Ken and I thing, Ive totally disconnected from him now after numerous things. You can only be hurt so many times by one person in your life right?

You certainly have your hands full with the amount of people scheduled to go to the wedding...hummm I hope they all bring you a nice gift lmao...Youll get doubles on some stuff and have to sell them on ebay...make some money back lol. Sounds like alot to organise, we have a small group at ours...mums, stepdads the children, his aunt and brothers, partners thats it...prob about 10-15 tops. Thank you for the comments on the dress, I love it and it was just what I was wanting, Ken found it for me...we chose everything together and that makes it so much more special. I remember seeing your dress, did you come to a def choice on the eye make up? The purple side was best in my opinion. I cant wait to be able to wake up and have us all together and not have to leave again.

We still need the rings actually, we want them as a pair...I loved yours. And yes there was no need to spend thousands on the dress, my parents was paying and I could have got a expensive dress but it wasnt what I wanted, we both loved this one. I am going to wear on halloweens lol so I get more wears from it I think. Just need to get some saucy underwear now to go under the dress he he he.

Thank you for the faith in me and my weight loss ability! (L) I think the hard part is waking up early in the morning to go.. they're open from 5 AM to 11 PM but I usually like going in the morning anyway because there's less people there. Kinda hard for an unemployed person with no kids to wake up at 8:00 AM when I could sleep until 11 if I wanted.. I might have a job at a daycare soon though and they can be like practice kids. ;)

For the make up, I actually found someone who is willing to do my makeup for me professionally on the day of, yay! I am going to go in for a trial soon and I'll definitely go with something similar to the purple one. I definitely want purple in there.. the whole house has gone purple for this wedding. All our plants and flowers are purple and white, my bouquet is going to be miniature calla lilies in purple and white, my dress is purple and ivory.. it'll be pretty and I hope I'm not sick of purple after.

Picking out the rings was really fun. Mine only cost close to $700 after the engraving and what have you, and Peter's cost around $250, which is a lot better than I had thought they would have cost. The ring originally had diamonds on the top but I had it custom made to have amethyst in it instead so it matches my engagement ring and amethyst is my favorite anyway. There are diamonds on the side instead.. bling bling! Do you have any ideas for yours?

I wish I could use my wedding dress for more uses. It's good that they're holding it hostage about an hour away from me, because if I had it in my room all the time I would probably wind up wearing it every night just to make sure it still fits and probably practice dancing, too. :innocent:

Yes I adore purples, I just love the color (spelt American lol) so Amethyst is awesome! then I came across the gemstone Tanzinate, OMG that is one amazing stone esp at AAA so amazing blue colored wow. But anyway my engagement ring is diamond so it would need to go with that...we come accross a few rings we both liked but I dont think we will be getting anything to flash right now. We decided that we would go for something cheaper until all the visa stuff is over and then we want to have a renewal at some point and get new rings then. We do want them engraved though. The visa thing has cost so much with there being three of us instead of just the one of us moving to the USA...esp now they have put the price up...we are just looking into having butterflies released at the ceremony now, it would be awesome, its really symbolic to us as my eldest son passed away when he was younger and it always reminds us of him :) So it would be like acknowledging him as part of the family on the day too for me :)

My mum offered to get my hair done for me by a professional hairdresser, she said it would be a wedding gift seeing as we have everything we need house wise lol.

Good luck with the job, that would be great...I love working with children they are awesome, honest and so much fun. I miss being in the classroom. Would be nice to work with children again sometime in the future. How exciting for you, new hubby and new job...whole new life :)

oh and Id be the same if I had my dress here too....but its in the US so I cant wear it...I just loveeee it, I do have the peticoat here though...Matilda and I were dancing in them the otherday lmao.

Great news about Peters pk3, we will have to call the DOS again to see if they have our interview date yet...see now we can start hounded someone else lol.

LMAO the old lady part made me giggle...ive never done the gym thing...Im lucky I guess as Im a size 8 uk size and happy with that, I eat what I want when I want and right now Im doing ok...I should tone my jelly belly up as I dont like that part of me...but Im to damn lazy lmao. I love the Geordie accent, my fave accent in the uk. Yes when im in the US its the simple things that I get corrected on...then when Im back in the UK I get corrected for saying US things....very confusing sometime...from shop to store...jacket potatoe to baked potatoe...and I cant say Mommy....

I say mummy...no matter how much I try I cant say mommy lol.

We have many a conversation about the different ways we say things...or what the other is actually talking about...for example...OMG its FOOOOOOTball...not soccer...its our game and we called it FOOTball....you use your FOOT to kick a BALL...lmao. I think that is prob the one thing that annoys the Brits the most about the Americans ...lol.. if your playing our game at least call it by its name instead of trying to be different and claim it...never gonna happen lol...see now ive started on the football subject lmao.

Solmarc...good idea on finding something to focus on....our babies wings arrived for the wedding the other day....sooo adorable...we are going to be adding some deep red roses and Ivy (our flower theme) to the bottom and some ribbons to the center of them... she loves them and I couldnt get her to take her peticoat off, she wants to wear it all the time....how cute are these??

They must be so cute, i saw the pic... ohhhh...

I am just happy to look for a dress, We are planning to do a beach wedding next year, my parents offer to pay (yayy),We were just going to the cityhall this year, but i am getting all excited to do something simple, that i think at the end we are celebrating to weddings one this year, and one the next... funny... His parents also are insisting in doing a wedding in PA, a civil ceremony, his mom is so excited that she is making plans, cause i dont know anything over there... Two parties are not a bad idea...

Yeah, I'm glad I don't have to worry about having to pay for other people right now. Do the kids get a discounted rate for flights? I forgot how that works when they're under 12 or whatever it is now. I'm going for my hair trial on the 29th.. it's going to be a busy few upcoming weeks, Peter will have his medical and interview soon, I have my bridal shower on the 27th, second dress fitting on the 28th, hair trial on the 29th.. maybe it's for the best that I don't have a job just yet, I don't have time for one, hehe.

The butterflies idea sounds beautiful. I'm very sorry to hear about your eldest son, I had no idea. :( He will certainly be there in spirit with the rest of your family and the entire wedding sounds like it will be so elegant and meaningful. I really really cannot wait to see pictures!

My Mom and step-dad are paying for the wedding and they are known for throwing huge parties, so this is about the biggest of them all. I thought that maybe 50 people at most would want to show up for me, I wouldn't have minded a smaller wedding much but since my parents are paying for it, they invited a lot of their family and friends. Like you said, more gifts for me! ;)

I think its one way we have coped with the visa process, shopping lmao. Ken and I did alot while he was deployed in Iraq last year, we got the appartment and then bought things for it online together, same as the wedding plans, alot of it has been done together online. Itkeeps you busy and focused on the goal, rather then the time its taking.

Im pleased you are sounding more positive today than yesterday...good job, some days are alot worse arent they? esp as you guys were together the other week. I find it more difficult as soon as we leave each other. The beach wedding sounds cute, my mummy got married on a beach in Mexico, looked beautiful. Are you going to be living in PA then?? Just thats were we are :) Two parties will be good. We are going to have a meal with the wedding party after the wedding, just in a restaurant. Then after the wedding we will hopefully have a party at our apparment with more people there. Maybe have to wear our wedding clothes again then...yayyyy.

Like you said, more gifts for me! ;)

....Thanks Christina about my boy, its not something you like to talk about to much, we was blessed to have him lent to us for a short period of time...not everyone gets to spend time with an angel...Im truely blessed...we have four now :) Each of them very special. We have faced many difficulties to be here....but as Ive found, nothing worth doing is ever easy :)

The discounts for the children are hardly worth it...just about 20-30 GBP each discount, not that much help but anything is better than nothing right now lol. we have to pay the visa fee three times...a discount on the medical as they dont have x-rays or bloods, mine is 200GBP and the childrens is 90.00GBP each. The trip to London is of course three coach tickets...hotel for us all. All the plane tickets as well as getting the appartment and the wedding sorted...as well as everyday living lol. Soon adds up. One of the biggest things to pay out was the dogs flight to the USA lol, cost more then ours lol. The dog is happy, spoilt and settled down now. We really miss everyone. I spoke with Kens mom and grandma the other day, made me "home" sick even more. Chatting with the other two children makes me miss them too :)

The wedding will be awesome I am sure :) lots of gifts yayyy. I will definatly get pics to you, in fair trade of some of yours and Peters of course :)

No, My Honey is from PA, a little town named Pottstown, but we are going to live in NJ...Is a nice place, close to the train station, little restaurants, malls close to Us, very confortable... I love it, We are planning in redecorating the apartment, so thats something else that i can plan and stop going crazy all day...

Our plan is similar to yours for a little wedding in PA, just sign the papers, a few pics and dinner with family and friends, happy my parents and brothers are going to be there with me, they are flying to NJ...

I havent find any dress that i like, and honestly i dont want to spend money on that, there is one i love but is 750USD, i dont see the point to put that amount on a dress... lol... is in three months and all of my friends are saying i should had my dress by now... oh well, i dont care if i marry Honey naked... i just want to marry him... lol

Hi everyone! I've been quiet for awhile as I'm still waiting to hear from the NOA2, so I thought it would be a good mental (and emotional) break to stay away from VJ for a few days or so! But I'm very very excited to read all of your beautiful wedding ideas and this gives me hope that we'll get our NOA2 someday soon. Anyway, I'm very happy for all of you!

Aww it sounds lovely where you are going to be living. That is great that your family can make it as well. Only my Mummy and step father will be out for ours, my lickle sister cant make it because of work commitments :( But as long as we have each other and the children there, our mom/mum were important too of course. Hummm hasnt got his pants yet lol...I said I cant marry Mr Moonie lmao. Like Christina noticed with my dress, it didnt cost alot at all. I just loved it. Hummm so you need a dress ...bless you, cant marry him as Mrs Moonie either lmao. You will find it, looking for it will help you stay positive and give you a focus instead of counting down days....liking the appartment idea too....thats the sprit!!! You can get some really nice dresses and not spend alot, if I see anything I will post it for you, get you looking and sorted ;)

Anyone know of any wedding sites to browse???? lol

Nancy...OMG I had no idea that you was still waiting. I am so sorry, I can see why you would have a break from VJ. Oh dear that sucks big time, I think we thought we had all got our NOA2's. I sure hope for your sake it arrives soon....you guys must be a lickle mad and a whole lot fed up by now. Have you got a Congressman involved yet?

Aww, thanks! I'm trying to stay patient and not panic. I did check with our Congressman on May 10 and we found out it was on an adjudicator's desk. I'm thinking if I don't hear anything in month, I'm going to harrass them again as that would be the five month mark, but I hope it doesn't get to that! Fingers crossed!
