LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! IT GIVES ME GREAT PLEASURE TO FINALLY ANNOUNCE..!

OUR PETITION HAS BEEN APPROVED!

126 DAYS OF HELL AND WORRY AND WAIT IS FINALLY OVER!

I just came back from a day out shopping with my Mom and I heard the text and thought "it's probably my friend," even though when I get a text at this time of day I always HOPE it will be the government. The ONE DAY I thought for sure we would not get approved AND WE FINALLY ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought I'd never be able to type this. :) Thank you SO much to EVERYONE who has helped and supported me! I will continue to stand by those who are still awaiting the joy that I have just received. Thank you for the midget, poacher, he did some good! Time to pass it off to yourcdnangel, O&C, and anyone else still on the waiting list!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I'm so happy for you two!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :)

Big Congratulation and happy dancing. You are one step closer to your promised dreams......

Best of luck, I know your NOA2 has to come soon.. we'll be here to dance for you once you do, I promise. ;)

And UK, I'm sorry to hear it'll take so long. :( I heard about London's slow process when it comes to interview dates before and always felt sorry for anyone applying in the UK. There's always a chance you and your fiance can visit each other somewhere along the line, right? You never know.. you might just wind up with a lucky interview date anyway. You've got my fingers crossed for you, too, girlie.

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

Awwww thank you guys :) I admit its abit of a downer but what can we do. I dont think there will be a visit though either. Its costing so damn much as in the Uk theres the 3 of us, Id love to take the kids "home" but its sooooo much money and then we would have the truma of dragging them back to the UK when they wouldnt want to leave the USA. Ken cant really visit here again as the dog is in the USA now and Id hate the thought of him going to kennels. Also that would be more holiday time of his gone and we wanted to have that for the time when we get out there, so no, we wont be seeing each other for a lickle while longer I guess :(

I think if it was just the two of us then it would be just fine but the cost is alot because of the kids as well. I guess we will survive of course lol. Just such a heart ache. You get over one hurdle and then another turns up right...lol...so I dont think we will be there for your wedding bash anyway :( so you guys will have to have a drink for us. But at least we have the NOA2 unlike Nancy and co......so Im trying not to grumble to much.

Nancy....I cant believe you guys dont have yours yet, it is sooooo unfair. Fingers crossed it arrives this week. My heart goes out to you all.....here is a lickle bit of fairy dust :star::star::star:

and some lucky dances of course....:dance::dance:

Good luck guys :)

Awww....you're not being whiny at all...but that's definitely how I would describe myself these past couple of weeks. I guess it's hard to accept that such an important decision is resting on the hands of another individual! I can't believe that your case hasn't even been updated online...that is definitely annoying and would make me mad too! I mean, you waited so long for it, you might as well be able to enjoy looking at that approval date online!!! Hopefully the wait times won't be too long for you...

Its kinda annoying as our four year old had checked the spot with us every day, she understood that it needed to jump to places so that Daddy could come back and pick us up lol....she was totally confused when it didnt jump even though we said it had...lol..bless her. I think its hard enough for us adults alot of the time, knowing its someone else choice as to when we can be back together. For children, well theres no concepted there really. They just want daddy (particularly our four year daughter) its tough when she is crying for him on a night time or when she fell over or is scared and stuff. My boy just wants some "boy" time....like it or not...as much as I try....Im just a "daddy" lol. But Im sure we are all feeling very much the same....frustrated, love sick..lol....desperatly seeking more touches thats for sure lmao. Isolated and completly at the mercy of others lmao. the things you do for love eh?

Fingers crossed some good news arrives soon for us all. Seems to have gone very quite and not much activity right now....we have our medical on the 22 june though...yayyyyy taking the kids for a well deserved trip to London babbbbbby ;)

Anyone got medicals sorted yet then??

Enjoy the time in London! In all my time in the UK I never went.. I think Newcastle was busy enough for me, I'm not one for big cities, but it always looked like a great place. :)

As I said in the Jan thread, I just got some bad news that my job is now coming to an end as of today and we are being "forced to resign" so it looks better on paper. Kiiiiiinda sucks as I was just going to ask them to write a letter stating that I'm employed with them for the Affidavit of Support. :bonk: I might have another job on the way, I hope I can get it before I need to send in the affidavit for the interview.. boo. Back to unemployment. :(

Ohhhhh noooo!! Im sorry, that really sucks and is such crappy timming :( I hope things work out and you get a new one. I was gutted as Im unemployed at the moment, the school Ive been training with wanted to employ me (my kids school) but they didnt as they thought Id be gone by now :( Ive worked towards my Teaching ast for afew year with them now in hope that I would get a job with them, timming was just so wrong. So now Ive finished my training and didnt get the job, Im now better off staying unemployed till we leave. I dont think there will be much work for me in the USA either ( well not in the line im trained in I mean) so I will be happy to work in the local walmart to begin with...I quite like the thought of that...get me meeting people, bring some money in and get a store discount...pretty exciting to me :)

I hope something turns up for you, I just got the AOS from Ken today...are you planning on putting a lickle statement in it?? I read somewhere you should, we havent but wont take long to do one. Prob will to be safe I guess.

Good luck with the job hunting girlie :) never know, maybe something better will turn up...fingers crossed.

Oh and I like London as long as Im not there for long lmao....I freak out at the tubes lol...feel like a mole under ground, I dont like small confined spaces...to many people in London...lol. But I think its only right to take the Kids out for a spot of sight seeing before we leave for the USA...maybe have tea with the Queen...hummm i should really call her to let her know we are comming...maybe My friend David Cameron would like to meet up with us too...phew busy few days eh...downing st it is then lol.

Thanks, Nancy and UK, for the support! Thankfully, very thankfully, my step-dad is going to be a co-sponsor for us as he owns his own business and makes $150,000 a year (not bragging, he's worked very hard to get where he's at, yay Bill!) but I would have still liked a job in time for the AOS to be filled out. I've only just graduated college in November, so I haven't had much time to get on my feet yet, like a proper career or anything. I knew all along he'd likely be supporting Peter and I, so it's a very nice net to fall back on. I might have a job as a receptionist in my future. Not the most glorious of jobs, but easy work, I'm friendly and know how to deal with angry people and idiots, it'll at least be something to pass the time.

I worked for the government, so I always knew how lazy us government employees can be and are told to be. We were told to take it slow so that the work stretches out and upper management gets to keep their jobs for longer. I have a degree in music production and management, but the music industry's not hiring, especially at that level, so I've accepted it will take a while to get there. I've done internships in that line of work, but nothing that pays the bills. My fiance, on the other hand, has a degree in Computer Science and Programming so once he is allowed to work in the US it should be fairly easy for him to get a job, my cute little nerd.

Now I'll have more time to be on the VJ forums and more time to harass NVC once they get my packet.. lucky them, right? ;)

Edit: At time of posting this, I've become a Senior Member.. I think I already spend too much time on the VJ forums as is.
