Yes, she is in a hard place. She left her job at the end of April in order to prepare to coming to here. From May first she was in Turkey for vacation. All this with Grandmother happen this past Sunday night. She had planned to be out of her flat by the end of June and preparing to handle that. Now UK you and I are in the "2 week period" in which that is the suggested time line that NVC hold your file. I am sure you should see your there around Monday for sure. Ken should be calling around 9pm east coast for the best results and no wait time for him. Once they have it the "DHL" tracking info will come in handy.

As soon as they have it you can call and begin the interview process for a date. For my view and Kirk view it appears it will be happening for Anna and Me around July 4 or after. I am expecting and hoping she will be by July 24. Next week all Anna has to do is get the police report and Masha the cats papers and she is good to go.Our Attorney will e-mail her the forms filed out and she has to do nothing. I had everything alreay prepared for her.

I know there are many here that tell you do not need a attorney. Sure, but what they do not tell you is if you have a problem that is where "My attorney" comes in handy. This was my seconf K-1 and i did not want to take any chances. So the 2 grand if something went wrong and having hime represent me at that point for no charge is a good insurance policy. This is second time i have used him and for sure you get what you pay for. He is great. Also, he has someone meet Anna before the interview to go over with her what to expect when she walks inside.

I can not be there for interview because i am building a home and life for her here. I have stayed in a extended stay since January and ihave found a four bedroom home and will have it July 22th. Anna should be here July 24 and i still have to move all things from Athens georgia to Jacksonville Florida which is about 5 hour drive to here. So now you can begin to see the Volcano I am dealing with. It is sometime like trying to herd cats.

I got through to NVC/DOS, NOA2 was May 17, they received (recorded in their system) on May 20th. I have a Warsaw case #, but they have not yet sent it on.

Does receiving a case # mean NVC is done with their 'processing,' just waiting to send it out, or there is more processing to be done yet?

Their hold system is an aural Chinese water torture, as it rings and rings and rings, then says you're on hold, repeat. Musak might be an 'upgrade.' But I got through. :)

Mailed K1: Fedex to VSC Feb 19, 2010

"IF" i am not mistaken. The NVC number is different than USCIS number. There is a document here that tell you how to track you case when it leaves NVC for the embassy. I will look for it tonight but everybpdy serch for it as well.

Hello everyone! I am new to this site! Here is my time line. Hopefully all goes well for my fiance and myself. I am confused does my fiance receive the packages or will both of us receive them? How will they notify him of this or should we call the consulate to ask if it was sent out?

Poacher, as usual, you and I are in the same boat on that big dumb lake known as VSC. I know it's hard to not want to snap at these cheerful people who are drowning in the NOA2s. But we have to keep happy and know that eventually it'll happen for us. Sigh.

Congrats to all those who got their NOA2, though!

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

Don't worry Lohninck, we're in the same boat too! Out of impatience/desperation, I went to my congressman's office to make sure everything is going okay with our case last Monday. We did find out that it was on an adjudicator's desk...so hopefully we'll hear something soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too and hang in there! All we can do is wait...even though it's getting harder!

Feb 2, 2011 - mailed application to Chicago Lockbox

Feb 4, 2011 - packet received

March 4, 2011 - Biometrics exam completed

March 7, 2011 - Received notice that application is being sent to California

Yeah, there are some people that need the NOA2 more than us. I'm not bitter, just a bit jealous and envious, but I am not envious of you and Anna's situation. I hope this will at least shine some light on the situation for you both. You'll be in my thoughts. (L)

Sure, it is different. The NVC number is basically your Embassy case number, where VSC filers cases start with EAC*, a Warsaw Embassy case number is assigned by NVC, starts with WRW*. I know once it's sent by DHL, there's a way to decode to match and track it, just unsure when exactly the Embassy case # is assigned, if it means it's ready to ship or ??

I'll go see if I can find out and post back, along with the tracking information if I can find that again, too.

Lohninck, I feel like the fat kid waiting to get picked for a team in dodgeball. Yes, I will be last.LOL. You should get yours.

I am honestly calm, cool, and drinking a beer for all of the others. I hope to receive mine in the next week or two. Three weeks is okay. After that, I will unleash on VSC. Who knows, I may be in a lucky box(Leslie) or I could be in a warehouse still collecting dust. It is what it is. Such is life. I give a whole hearted congrats to those who received theirs. Honestly. Keep it rolling VSC.

Even Igor's List knows I should have it soon.. I was never that patient of a person to begin with. 112 days today of sheer impatience and worry and stress. It's part of my job as a woman, and especially as a bride-to-be. I'll give the congressman's office a call tomorrow (or Monday, depending on if they're open on Saturdays) and see what Vicky has to say about this so far. Best of luck to us all.
