we haven't received ours either. no email or hard copy. i realize they've only had it for 4 days, but i've noticed that others have received their noa1's within the first few days of their arrival. i'm stressed :P

If you have online banking and check imaging, you can find your case number on the back of your check. It's a 13 digit number under the bank stamp for the treasury!

Once you have that just head on over to the USCIS website and 'check my filing status' :)

They just cashed ours yesterday (26th) and we mailed it on the 22nd!

Hi Everyone,

We just filed on Feb 22. I went to the USCIS website to check status because I didnt receive an NOA1 email yet but it asks for a receipt number. Does anyone know where you can find that? Thanks for the help!

If you used a check then you'll have to wait till they cash it and get your bank to give a copy of the cashed check. Some can do it online. On back of your check will be some numbers that start with EAC if you're a VSC filer (or WAC if you're a CSC filer). That's your USCIS number, you that to establish an account and check status. The only other way to get that number is on your NOA1 when you get it.

I Just read this on someones post. Did anyone here send the instructions of the G-325A with their package? It seems kind of silly. I didn't... and now after reading this I'm having a mini-panic attack.

"Oh! Remember that you have to print and send as well the instructions for the G-325 A when you download the G-325 A it has two pages, one is the form and another the instructions so you have to print and send both. My fiance called USCIS and they told him to send it. Then we were thinking about send 4 copies of it like it was before. With the new form you just need to send one (i say that just in case you have that question later because we had it)."

Send the G-325 instructions with packet 1? That's a little odd that USCIS would tell you to send instructions. They must have not understood the question. The instructions have no information for your case, they are merely "instructions" on how to fill out the USCIS forms. It's the same as the I-129F or 1040 or any other US government form. They almost always don't require you to send in the instructions. And most agencies have the instructions as separate downloads. I suppose to answer your question, no I didn't send in the instructions for my G-325 or for the I-129F. I'd be pretty ticked off if they gave me an RFE because they wanted me to send them instructions on how to fill out their form.

I think the new rule of thumb here regarding how many copies of the G-325 is two, that is two for the petitioner and two for the beneficiary. I think the 4 copies requirement was a throwback to an older form being phased out.

Good luck and hope you have a good journey!

My fiance sent only one G325-A for each and we also did not send the instructions because we thought it was realy silly..BUT..Ive read that some people here were questioning that and did send..

One thing that cought my attention is the low number of filers in February to VSC..do u guys think this will make it easier for us?

Yes, I would be royally annoyed as well. It does seem extremely silly to have to include such a rediculous peice of paper. But, that's what I read and thats why my panic attack was only mini :D I'm ok now! Thanks!

Well, theres still the Nov/Dec/Jan people in front of us. It seems they're into the late Novembers now so hopefully it would be too long :D I saw that one couple got approved in a MONTH! That was crazy! My Mark is planning on coming here for a trip soon and as much as I'd like him to stay for 2-2.5 months, I want him there to work on his packet 3 as soon as it gets there :D

I wanted to get my file in before Valentines Day because I figured there would be a lot of proposals and people sending in there forms then. Of course, I forgot to consider that it took me a good month to get all the paper work together. Next month may have a big rush.... but it doesn't matter cause they're after us :P

Glad to see this thread not going to the rear. I am personally waiting for my NOA1. I sent in the application last Wednesday. Now time to grab the chips, sit on the couch, and waitttttttt. I have a little bit of experience at this. Unless things speed up, most of us will be getting interviews in July or August, just depends on the consulate. We could get lucky and get our NOA2's a few weeks earlier. Just sit back and ride the wave. I know it is hard. Best of luck to all for an early approval.
