talking about airfares.

pls where can I find cheap ticket to Amsterdam, Holland. I see ticket around $1400-$1600. Which is not possible because it is similar to fares to Nigeria.

Anyone know about how or where I can get cheap ticket for July travelling?

taking my mind off VSC for a while :bonk::bonk:

Best I found for your trip of Raleigh to Amsterdam was ~$1340 with vayama (via Kayak.com ). I looked quickly for travel in May, definite jump - May was ~$850, July add 50% :(

Mailed K1: Fedex to VSC Feb 19, 2010

NOA1: Feb 22

NOA2: May 17 (84 days, no touches, both SMS and email notice received a day later)

Rcvd at NVC: May 19

Sent on to Embassy: May 21 (in reality, May 24th)

Received at Embassy: May 26

Packet 3 received: June 1

Packet 3 returned: June 2

Try going through Philly, Newark or JFK. Might be cheaper.

Airfares jump for Ukraine as much as $600 during the summer. I see it every year. I am sure a lot of destinations are the same.

Also, we will probably get bent over and have to pay the new higher visa fee of $350. It will be my luck. It will probably change the week of the interview. Who knows, the goverment might drag their feet on this one and I luck out.

Tom, where did you get that brass pole, or should I ask? You might want to disinfect it.

Well ... You know Kirk, I'm in the Real Estate business and I do come across some strange things people leave behind ...

Tom, let me know if you find any of my singles laying on your living room floor. I have a side job teaching single mothers how to earn a living. Just using your facilities while you are at work. P.S. don't sit on the couch. The CDC hasn't identified that strain yet. Penicillin makes it laugh. I probably will get in trouble for this one. It is humor people.

Dance on the pole, we are getting closer.

As for airfare. I check 5 different carriers websites, then the ones like orbitz, expedia, airgorilla, etc. I hit them all everyday for about two weeks. It is amazing how much they fluctuate. I can usually save 300 to 400 doing this. It is a pain, but can be beneficial. Sometimes airfares make no sense. I can fly to Kyiv cheaper, transiting through Amsterdam, cheaper than just flying to Amsterdam. I have worked every angle possible for the past 5 years.

It is Friday. We need some life here. After the gym today, it is off to hunt camp for me. Got to add more to the freezer. Okay, I just want to go drink beer. I probably will not shoot tomorrow. I might be calling for a guy that has never got a turkey before.

If this thread doesn't start getting some life, I will start posting pics of me in a leopard skin thong. Yes, that is a threat. Let's get this party going.

Okay, okay, okay! Let's not go too far now. ;)

What do you hunt? If not for my fiance's father, I never would have had deer, pheasant, rabbit, or any of those delicious gamer critters. I don't think I could hunt, personally, but my fiance has expressed interest in applying for a permit once he gets here. Guess the shell doesn't fall too far from the gun or something.

First, I will be politically incorrect. Just look at my screen name. I hunt tall blondes. This is a joke people. Don't get the lynch mob after me, yet.

Seriously, right now it is turkey season. I also hunt deer, bear, boar, ducks, and geese. I own 1100 acres in eastern North Carolina. I hunt geese and deer in southern Jersey, boar in South Carolina, ducks and geese in Canada. I will travel all over for good hunting. Texas or Montana will happen this fall. When I am not hunting I am fishing. My drinking team has a fishing problem.

The threat about the thong is still real.

I almost forgot, "wishing the fine people at VSC a good weekend." Now pick up my application and get busy.

Well I certainly applaud you for hunting geese and deer in my state, we have too many of the bastards threatening to ruin my car. As pretty as they are, they're pretty damn tasty, so.. awesome!

My patience is growing thin with VSC.. they approved someone who has the exact same NOA1 as me.. but not me yet, so I'm feeling lucky, but you can never, ever tell with the jerks. But, let's be civil. Happy weekend, VSC. Now hurry the hell up!

I am sitting by a fire again at hunt camp. A fire makes a beer taste better. Had a few adult beverages and went and rode the 4 wheelers. Buzzed and in the dark earned me a few good scratches from limbs and briers. Good times. I get to be a shooter tomorrow. I get to call for myself. Woohoo. I love the smell of gunpowder in the morning.

This thread is still dead. Where is that thong. I wonder if my buddies would take the pic. That would be a hard sell.

Back to the fire and adult beverages . 5 o'clock is going to come too early.

O the hassles of those airports though.

Thanks. I will check them out

Newark airport seems to always get great reviews when it comes to POE. I've flown in and out of there all my life and never had any problems, nor has my fiance, and it usually seems to have pretty cheap flights. The border patrol are great.. my fiance has long hair and the second time he was ever in America the border patrol guy told him he could pick up his luggage to the left and get a free haircut to the right, because he's never seen so much hair in his life. So, it's worth checking out, but I would definitely avoid JFK since they're undergoing construction and is FULL of delays, even moreso than usual.

I thought I was going to have to vegetarian. Perish the thought. Nothing but hens this morning. I think the gobblers went gay. Yes, I went there. Luckily after going to work out, my oldest son wanted to go fishing. Well, I caught 8 bass. Now drinking a beer, thinking of fishing again before lacrosse games.

VSC, let's get cranking. Cheers to all.

I'm glad I'm not trying to fly through Europe right now. It would be planes, trains, and automobiles. What a mess.

I am still looking for my thong. Step it it up folks.
